DOUGH&co Woodfired Pizza

I got a delivery from Dough&co for the first time, thinking it would be nice to try despite the very expensive prices. The food was barely warm when it arrived and had to heat it up in the oven, although that is not the restaurant's fault. I got a mushroom pizza with ham. The dough was quite nice considering it is very hard to find a wood fired oven restaurant around. The ham was also tasty. However, the mushrooms were not fresh as advertised. The mushrooms were the ones marinated in oil and left an unpleasant smell and aftertaste on the pizza. I also ordered some strawberry and cream doughnuts but the cream was melted and made the doughnuts soggy and inedible... Unfortunately, they ended up in the bin like my money.

The food was absolutely delicious and honestly one of the best pizzas I've eaten in Colchester.
Well cooked, fresh, lots of toppings. Portions were great too.
The service was super friendly and the food was brought out at an incredible speed (without rushing us). We sat in the downstairs cave area so it was super cosy and intimate.

If you haven't eaten here before, why not? Locals or visiting people need to look it up and book ASAP.. 😊

Very nice atmosphere in the restaurant, staff were very pleasant and friendly. The food was amazing but the wait time was quite long, considering there weren’t many guests.

Popped in here after visiting the cinema and availed ourselves of a couple of their lovely pizzas. Nice and crispy and good choice of toppings. We had a gorgonzola, pear and nuts one and the Spanish one. Both tasty!
They do also do other Italian classic grub but I think most people know it for their pizzas!

Had a very nice lunch at dough and co colchester , never been before but food was excellent, freshly cooked in a pizza oven , was one of the nicest pizza I've had , will return again.

First time eating here tonight, will be returning. Amazing food, nearly every table was occupied but was calm quiet and could hear your companion well.

Lovely waitress who made the experience. Believe her name was Namente. Was quick and friendly without being overbearing.

Only wish the card machine had the option to tip on the card as we didn't have a lot of cash on us so the tip was not reflecting the service.
