Papa John's at Ribby Hall Village

Received extremely undercooked disgusting chicken poppers which were purple in colour and of a jelly consistency. This later caused food poisoning symptoms. We returned the entire order due to being completely put off the food however the staff refused to issue a refund and obviously didn’t know how to deal with complaint issues but I can understand this as all staff behind the counter are young. We were then told we would be contacted at 9am the next day by the customer services manager which we were not. We then had to find her ourselves to address this. She was also rude, abrupt and stated that she would not give us a refund. During this issue I noticed that they have a food hygiene rating on display of 5* from 2016? I questioned this as it suggests their rating has decreased but do not want to display it however the response I got was “we just haven’t received the new sticker yet” ...in 2 years? Dodgy place, dodgy food, awful staff. Definitely 100% avoid if you aren’t keen on eating purple chicken. This case has been taken further.

Ignore the review that said they had undercooked chicken and the whole family had food poisoning. They then said they returned the entire order. How is that possible? Contradiction. Some people are not very nice and leave nasty remarks on purpose. In my experience Papa has always been great. The pizzas are delicious. It's expensive but that's to be expected on a holiday park.

Was on the phone for 10 mins on hold and whilst waiting decided to walk to the place - whilst still being on hold. Arrived at 8:28pm and was ignored conveniently until 8:33pm - and I was still on the phone. I could see the phone had been placed on silent and the red light was just blinking away.

Some gentleman came up and informed us that they had stopped serving food at 8:30pm. When displaying my phone to show that I have been on hold the whole time walking well before 8:30pm and could see the phone blinking he informed me that they were serving guests and that they took priority. When I looked there was only one table occupied. There were at least 5 people I could see in the kitchen.

Absolutely unacceptable conduct and attitude. To say they are working in a holiday area and they should appreciate that they are representing not only themselves but also Ribby Hall their attitude was not suitable of that of someone to support a guests holiday. Very disappointed.

Visited Papa Johns while visiting Wild Discovery today , never been to any branch before I chose to eat Papa John’s my son has Avoident Restrictive Food Intake Disorder & his main safe food is pizza. I ordered a medium plain cheese & tomato pizza in the hope he would be able to eat it. The pizza was made within 10 minutes served freshly hot & my son loved it so much so 3 hours later he asked me to take him back for another. My child also struggles with busy noisy enviroments but this Papa Johns was quiet not too busy, no queues at all which was a brilliant setting for him to eat in . I was served by James who was polite and helpful 👍🏻

Our order tonight was incorrect. I rang to explain (politely) and I had to deal with a lady with a very rude attitude who was insinuating this was my fault??? My family have holiday homes on this site and we won't be ordering from here again.
However the pizza's at The Terrazza are nicer and cheaper and the staff are much more friendlier.
Word of mouth is quite powerful.

Spent £50 on pizzas and couldn't even get a smile. What a miserable bunch of staff, left feeling sad myself.

Food excellent, the best pizza. Staff early on this night grumpy & unfriendly. Checked the receipt I missed an offer being applied, so paid slightly more than I could have.
