The description, pictures and quantities on their website are dodgy at best, delivery took longer then any fast food delivery I ever had. 1 hour! Food was tough, and dry and they got the order wrong. Don't even bother adding any requests on your order as they just ignore it anyways, even though they give you the option to add a remark. 1 St and LAST time for me.

I have been a regular at Sam's for years, Very good food, good selection and not bad delivery time, Until about 4 months ago, went in and when I got home, half my order was missing. Any way didn't complain as by the time I got the food, would be pointless as rest would be cold (my fault for not checking really) Then ordered a TEX MEX on several occasions and parts missing, chix not cooked. so started questioning it (but was to hungry to complain) My wife ordered a burger and it wasn't cooked on another occasion and we tried ringing up to complain, no answer!! Again we kept ordering and they couldn't even get the simple things right like lemon and herb sauce on my Peri peri chicken, drinks with meals etc, delivery times are now 1 1/2 hours instead of 40-60 minutes. I finally have refused to go back now due to my last experience, when I asked for salad cream on my burger he did not know what it was "coleslaw?" "Cheese?" no, I want Coleslaw!!! then it arrived, 2 drinks missing, whole packet was crushed and when I picked up one box it fell apart and half the food went on the floor. I asked him can he get my drink, he told me to ring the shop, I rang them and guess what?? no answer!!
I believe they are deliberately getting orders wrong, deliberately making you wait longer (so you are so hungary you just pay for it) deliberately and deliberately not answering the phone (on their caller display system) to avoid people getting a refund.
Avoid at all costs, if they are doing these things on purpose then what are they doing to the food??

very appalling, i ordered from them on sunday evening 10 May was very disappointed. Wedges, garlic bread and chicken bits were all dumped in one box, The Garlic bread was burnt and hard and chicken wings were dry me and kids were very disappointed. i took a picture as well as i couldn't believe that you could receive such an appalling service.

SAM'S takeaway used to be 1 of my favs in Aylesbury, Their jacket potatoes are lovely
However.... They never answer the phone anymore to us just because we made a complaint as one of their workers had her 4/5 year old daughter running around the place everytime she was working. We felt that a hot kitchen is no place for a child, now they refuse to answer our calls which is a shame really because we were regular customers who would order every weekend!
Also 1 time I ordered a jacket potato and they told me to call back in 3 hours time as they had none in, I called back... they still had none. I waited from 12 until 7pm to get a potato

On 12/06/18 I ordered a vege burger and other bits. I bit into the burger and it tasted very funny so I spat it out. Being a vegetarian for all my life and not tasting meat or fish I knew something was up. As well as the fact I’ve ordered from Sam’s before and normally their vege burgers have actual vegetables in it..
I rang the shop and at first they were like no you must have a vege burger. And after I was adamant that it wasn’t he checked with someone else and it turns out the burger (as pictured) was actually a cod/fish burger!
I am revolted and almost feel very sick at the thought of having that in my mouth! They are sending another burger however this will make me very wary in ordering from Sam’s again.. thank god I’m moving away soon!

Visited Sam yesterday evening. I ordered the standard Fish Supper. I had to wait 20 minutes in the shop, but I thought no worries at least it will be fresh. How wrong could I be!!!!
By the time I got home 5 minutes after leaving the shop the chips were old and rock hard and the fish was horrible grey and rubbery. Tasteless and inedible. The best part about it was the mushy peas... the rest went in the bin.

It’s now nearly half 3 in the morning and I have got severe food poisoning. I have been in and out the toilet for the last couple of hours and feel really sick. I ordered fish and chips by phone and when I got the there still had to wait for about 15 mins for the food. When I got home the chips were like they had been cooked a week ago dry, hard and tasteless. The fish was oily, soggy, rubbery and did not taste fresh whatsoever. Would definitely not recommend even if I was starving and there was nothing open in the whole of Aylesbury.

Used to go here loads, partner got food poisoning so tried it again. It wasn’t bad but now this is the second time I’ve been appalled, especially tonight I’ve made an order started eating to notice it was the wrong panini luckily I dished dinner up as it was tuna which my partner is allergic to! I phoned up and said it’s wrong I’ve received the wrong item; the shop said I hadn’t even ordered a panini, after explaining I had and I want the correct order they said 10-15 mins. Over half an hour later I got my panini but by then I had cold wings and curry sauce. The panini isn’t what it used to be either, it was a small baguette half the size of the panini that used to be sold for the same price. Will be giving sams a miss in future.
