I've used Elmbridge Heating and Plumbing for a couple of years. I've had two annual boiler services done and the internals of my toilet cistern replaced. Both the men who've been have arrived punctually, and I'm satisfied with the work done. The cost of the work isn't as cheap as some other companies, however I am happy to pay a bit more for fully accredited staff and good quality workmanship. I will continue to use them in future. Oh dear... looks like the drivers of these two vans don't understand what a disabled parking bay is. If they're that uneducated, I'd hate to think what they're actually like as a company! I suggest these two drivers are shown the photos that I'll be sending to the company, and also the DSA of there total lack of incompetence!

We had a man come round to quote for replacing the bathroom and doing some plumbing in the kitchen. Seemed positive, knowledgable. Promised the quote the following day, that was two weeks ago. I sent several emails chasing and got replies promising the quote and nothing.

DO NOT USE THIS PLUMBER! Shame you have to issue any stars to post here, they dont deserve the 1 star!

We had a new boiler fitted 3 weeks ago and it hasn't worked properly since. When calling them back out, we were changed a fee of £90 to attend the property (!) and was told 'i've checked everything including the valves and its all fine'. A week later its still not working properly and so we emailed for help again. On the second call out, the owner of the business attended the property, didn't introduce himself, demanded to see the boiler and then insisted that they would never have installed that boiler and that it must have been done by someone else. After it was verified that his firm did install the boiler, he didn't apologise and told us that a valve needed fixing (despite what we had been told a week before). When we asked if that wouldn't have been checked at the time of installation and he said yes, and the system drained. When we said that we didn't recall that happening, he became even more defensive and said 'he didn't want to get into an argument'. When we asked again, he headed for the front door and left leaving us standing in the hall dumbfounded. I have never been so insulted inside my own home and can only urge others to avoid this company at all costs. Check out the other reviews - too many other negative ones, wish we have checked first!

PS - no quibble with the lovely Bettina who fields the calls for this company. You have my sympathies for working for such a brute!

Very happy with the service I received. The call out was initially for a radiator valve but during the visit, I asked about another problem that we had and that was diagnosed quickly and the replacement for that (expansion chamber) also fast and efficient at a good price too. Everything is working very smoothly now. Thanks to Dan and Steve for being such a safe pair of hands on this. Very professional and responsive.

We have used this company for about 9 years since moving to Surrey and they’ve generally been okay for boiler services and minor repairs. However we wish we had researched more thoroughly when we needed the boiler replacing as they have not been good when things went wrong a few months later. We had never dealt with the owner previously and unlike his staff he is rude and argumentative. And when we had a visit from Worcester Bosch the engineer left us with a statement the the boiler was not fitted to current standards.
Our quotation for the new boiler also included an eight year warranty but they have only given us seven and are now ignoring our emails.
We will use a different company in future.

AVOID. After paying for something to be looked at, was quoted an absurd amount for a shower pump to be replaced, when I asked for a cost breakdown no information could be given as to how this was calculated and was spoken to in a rude manner. Very quickly found another company to do for £275 cheaper with a clear breakdown.

Have heard similar stories from neighbors

Edit: this was last year, decided to review after hearing similar stories from neighbors. In no way exaggerated or ‘malicious’

Really disappointing service from this company, I paid up front and was told the engineer would arrive at my property by lunchtime. I received no phone calls informing me why the engineer had still not arrived by 3pm. The call centre lady was extremely abrupt and very unapologetic. I then get told the engineer won’t arrive and can you stay in all day tomorrow! It seems they don’t really care once they’ve got your money. I was going to use them to replace my entire boiler but will now go elsewhere.
