Great little post office just at the side of the market

I am seeing a lot of negative comments about this place. I'm visiting this post office weekly. Yes the place look and feels gloomy and depressing but they recently hired new younger staff that is very kind and helpful. I was being served many times by the old man with beard and didn't have an issue.

Maybe if this post office gets interior change positive reviews will be pouring in.

Great Post office in Nelson. Situated in a prime location. The staff are very friendly and hardworking. There are plenty of services this post office provides and at good prices too. The staff are efficient and provide solutions to problems. There are also plenty of products to buy from here such as envelopes and toys. The opening times are very convenient too. Would definitely recommend 10/10

Is good, staff are very friendly and helpful.
Can get very busy and once it got shut before 3, but generally good branch.

The ladies that work there are lovely. The old man however is on a planet of his own. Politely challenged him initially why my e-scooter was not allowed in the shop (to avoid theft outside) as i left it to the side far away from anyone or anything. He got very angry and spoke to me condescendingly. Completely unnecessary uncle Patel. Uncle if you are reading this please come to my house for a cup of tea if you want to kiss and make up. I love u x

Disgusting service. Customers queuing out in the cold because there are only allowed six inside. There is no justification for it any more. The branch is huge.
The premises inside are depressing, chaotic and with very bad space-management.
No care for customers whatsoever. It is a shame for the Post Office.

Doesn't close till 1.30 just been to put my gas on as only place I can do it told him I have no gas on with two children at home as run out he said no they closed to go somewhere else no other places close enough to get gas

Called in today, first time ever. We had a parcel to send to France which weighed over 2kg so the Spar couldn’t deal with it. The manager there explained that it would be more economical to split the parcel into two parcels.
He asked if we would take it home or do it there.
He then offered us the use of his back room and provided another bag free of charge, pen etc.
He weighed different combinations to ensure that the postage was adjusted appropriately. Whilst we were re packaging we were offered a hot drink!
This is exceptional service from the same man who has been criticised many times on here. Thank you Mr Vali. I would travel here to post things again if I’d a problem, not take the bus to Colne or Burnley!
