Charlton Kings Post Office

A wonderful, friendly, helpful Post Office team. It's a joy to have them in the village. We'd be stuffed without their fantastic service. Keep up the good work! (By the way, they like chocolate biscuits, so how about doing what I do and taking a packet in every so often!)

Helpful staff and well stocked but almost impossible to park. Seriously find somewhere with parking near by rather than drive round trying to find a space.
A real nightmare

Lady at the front would not assist me with sending an international parcel as registered. I communicated my concern but she insisted that the she already processed the transaction and that everything will be fine. Sadly parcel got tampered with during it's journey with most of the contents being stolen. On a different occasion another lady at the back would not send item as a large letter (correct envelope size), weighing less than 500grams. She insisted that the item be posted as a small parcel, which obviously cost more...

I think they really struggle to do anything in this post office, they’re really slow at serving people. I was told that my barcode wouldn’t work & that I would have to pay again. I refused to & she was really rude. I posted the item in the postbox & surprise, surprise it was delivered. Please don’t listen to what they say or your be paying double for every item!!

Good quality fruit and veg, brilliant butcher, friendly staff, cannily and diligently doing their bit to serve the community as safely as possible in the current trouble.

Used this post office numerous times and have always found the staff helpful and courteous. This post office is open long hours so hats of to them for all the hard work they do well into mid evening and at weekends.
They have been a godsend sending stuff to E Bay purchasers at all hours of the day.
And as a bonus the grocery shop is open as well with them on the same hours.
So well done the management for keeping the service going and looking after local folk who need your services.

I live locally and every time I go to this post office, I get wound up about the incompetency and rudeness of the lady at the post office desk. She needs some training on how to talk to customers and some common sense. She just told me off for not peeling off the old label on the parcel while happily stuck a new label on a different area of the box. Also apparently all you need to do is to scribble the old label off so was it necessary to be a jobs worth and tell off customers on these little things?
