Post box - Royal Mail (Cresswell Road)

The Royal Mail brick pillar post box half way down the dead end Cresswell Road in the Chesham Moor area. I'd never walked down this road before, but did so as a COVID-19 virus pandemic lockdown exercise walk. I was most surprised to find this rather large box. Why is a post box of any size doing down a dead end road. It can only serve the immediate residents and no passing motorists, so wrong sized box in the wrong place. It should have been placed at the road entrance T-junction with Bois Moor Road where lots of people including Woodley Hill road residents and passing motorists can access it.
