One of the worst post office, in terms of how they operate.

Anytime, anyday of the year, there is always a queue, at least 10 people.

Issue is all the time not adequate staff and whoever is serving is not skilled enough and very slow

Have been a number of times long queues ridiculous system one rude person behind counter sends everybody to machines that do not work then has to leave the counter to sort out machines? Sat afternoon when Mail collected earlier left counter to sort out for 30mins whilst two others sat by money exchange doing nothing leaving massive queues. Bank Holiday Monday despite web site and as WH Smith being open they should have opened the rude assistant was there but refused to open counter only machines which don’t work with home printed parcel q/r code other people with me also could not be served as needed counter how are they allowed to continue to run a branch like this?

If "0" stars was possible that would be the rating! I have no words adequate to describe this abysmal outlet, let alone it being a Post Office!! Absolutely shocking place, which would have been comical if I had not been in the ever increasing queue! Which then proceeded to be followed by a rude, and unprofessional counter staff (male by the way - he should know who he is). I only entered here to collect a parcel - but NEVER again!! When I EVENTUALLY reached the counter I informed him I was here to collect a parcel upon which he immediately asked for ID without even knowing what my name was, so an exchange ensued whereby I asked surely don't you need my name firstly to at least identify the parcel to which his abrupt response was "No, I need to take your ID". At that point I reminded him you do not need to take my ID you need to see it. (Particularly as it was a bank card). I held my ground and he loudly asked if I did not trust him and so for asking, I returned in kind and loudly replied "No, where are you taking it?" To which he said "Well, I won't serve you.""Fine"I said "I'll wait for your colleague as you clearly have no manners." He was clearly irate that I no longer wished to interact with him and attempted to incorrectly convey our exchange to his colleague. She could see this was not even an issue and looked at my ID and was fine with seeing it and NOT having the need to take it. I gladly and swiftly took my leave and parcel from here. They are clearly lacking in the skillsets to run a franchise of the Post Office - they really do need to be assessed!

I wish I didn’t give this one star.
My sister and I have been sending the same size parcel over the years to America and always got told it’s cheaper to send it in two parcel. Well today some lady gave my sister a panic attack by refusing her to send it saying it’s too big and needs to be sent in one. I have seen people sending bigger parcel than the ones we have. We have done the same routine over and over and just because they are on strike for a good reason does not give them the right to refuse service. The post office use to be excellent until they brought in those do it yourself machines. It made it so the staff just don’t care. All in all this post office is going down hill.

It took 2 tries for me to get a parcel sent off. On the first day, I arrived 25 minutes before closing and stood in line upstairs waiting for counter service only to be told that the jiffy/padded envelopes BY THE SIDE of the counter had to be paid for downstairs. After paying, I returned upstairs and waited in the queue for 5 or so minutes before the same male staff member who sent me downstairs, helpfully yelled out the last person to be served would be the person in front of me. Cheers buddy!

The next day, I arrived much earlier and all in all waited about 40+ minutes before I was served. The staff member, Nala is an absolute credit to the Post Office. She was calm, professional, so kind, and patient. I would have given 0 to 1 stars in this review were it not for Nala.

Absolutely shocking service, paid for a royal mail postage label online and queued for over 30 minute's to drop it off as this is what Royal mail said I had to do in the email received. I was advised by Uxbridge post office that they were not allowing post in store to Ireland but Royal mail customer services said the parcel could still be dropped off at ANY post office, I confirmed this before I took it and queued. The lady behind the counter said that she couldn't take it, I showed her the email confirming that I had been advised to drop at ANY post office. She then was Rude and abrupt moaning huffing , puffing and rolling her eyes, complaining that she had a queue, she asked the lady next to her both speaking in their own language so I can't tell you what they said but by the tone and smirking it was clear they were insults. I asked where I was supposed to take it then and she said go to another post office.
I did go to another post office who took the parcel with no problems at all and were extremely polite. I told them I had just had trouble at another post office trying to post and before I could actually say they said let us guess W H Smiths Uxbridge they also said if we had a pound for every customer from there who come to us complaing we'd be millionaires.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS UNHELPFUL , RUDE STAFF ALSO BE PREPARED TO QUEUE FOR AN EXTREMELY LONG TIME.

Always under staffed, always too busy. No queue control, slow staff. Poor support for self service.

Go somewhere else for your postage needs.

The staff are terrible which is why there's always a long queue. Service is very bad. And the worst part is that it is the only post office in Uxbridge area and other options are not very near.
