Staff lady #1 helped older couple, took her time to put back their package. If there was a motion sensor in that building it would take that lady as piece of furniture - she was that quick. However, staff Lady #1 is helping another 2 customers, queue is moving slowly and then out of nowhere same lady logs her self out from her work station and leaves queue saying "See ya later" :D
You should've seen people in the queue. Staff Lady #2 still tries to help very same customer (looks like she's not compatible with todays technology) and Staff Lady #3 starts to catch eyes of angry mob. Takes here 2 mins to roll out from the booth/work station. Walking looks like Mission Impossible to her but she's trying...
After wasting 30 mins of my life the in queue watching that sad performance Staff Lady #3 didn't manage to help me and I left the building angry as F
TO WHOEVER MANAGES POST OFFICE IN CITY CENTRE:
1. Get younger (thinner) staff
2. Provide mopets to those older ladies
Never ever any here or in wh Smith's downstairs, always resort to claines post office.
Staff here at WH Smiths always seem stressed and angry.
If you smile and give the staff a break, they’re absolutely lovely, very helpful and engaging.
On a personal level, after a 45 min wait in the queue. I was informed that I could not have my pre paid labelled parcels scanned at that post office as they did not have the facility to do so. The jobsworth (old chap, with specs) seemed passive-aggressive and seemed to take delight in informing me this, particularly after the long wait. I asked if there was anywhere in Worcester that did. He mumbled none specifically, the RM depot. I asked which one? he said 'The main one' Where's that? 'Waignwright Rd', 'Where's that ', 'Warndon Villages'. It was reminiscent of some bueracratic Soviet military gulag office than a modern day PO. Getting any helpful information had to be prised reluctantly and begrudgingly.
