London Road Post Office

AVOID... if you have time there is another store 2 minute walk down the hill, I have a list the length of my arm of how brutal this place is...
In no particular order...

-Shop owner would rather finish a youtube video on his phone before serving.
-Shop owner would rather continue a phonecall for 5 inutes than serve the queue of people.
-Shop owner would rather start a phonecall than serve you.
-Shop owner rolls cigarettes on the counter then sweeps the remining tobacco over the sweet shelf in front of counter, (great for kids)
-Dont ask owner to help you find anything in the shop, he will rolls his eyes and curse you under his breath.
-If the owner is stocking the shelf, dont expect to get served until he is finished, even if it means he has to run into the back store to get more stock.
- Post office closes before scheduled time and the shop owner will ignore you instead of telling you that it has closed.

Not a post office. It has signs outside saying it is a post office, but it isn’t a post office. It has signs inside saying it is a post office, but it isn’t a post office. It has a branded post office counter, but it isn’t a post office. If you bring anything in that needs posting, the dude behind the counter will rudely tell you it isn’t a post office and impatiently point you towards a small note which explains in small print that it isn’t a post office.

The post office counter is temporarily closed as they are waiting for the licence. No timeline though.

Not operating as a post office due to licensing. They do not know if or when these services will return.

just got home from being excessively questioned about my career and my future, and my personal life. I felt extremely uncomfortable as the product I was buying was being withheld by the server, until he was satisfied with the information I’d given about my university, whether I drink or not, what I am planning for the future and so on. I was visibly uncomfortable as this man continued to flirt with me (despite at least a 30 year age gap), while refusing to give me the product to me until i had answered enough questions. Will not be returning. Such an uncomfortable situation

I need someone to contact me as soon as possible as my parcel has gone missing. The phone number doesn’t work and they said they sent it back but the Royal Mail tracking still shows it with them. I need proof that the parcel was returned or compensation for the amount since they didn’t keep it the length of time RM allows for collection either

Haven't used it as a post office, but have got stamps and cards and things from there many times. The people who work there, despite some of the other reviews here, are lovely. It's a genuine shame to hear others be so judgemental over petty things. I think people are too sensitive to what they perceive as rudeness; put yourselves in the position of the shop owners - and realise they work long hard hours, still serve you efficiently, and might just feel reserved sometimes.

The people who work there, like all of us, have good days and bad days. It's a good thing to know, that you're actually talking to genuine people. I work in the service industry, and know good characters when I see them. The people who work here, are very good characters.

Post office not operational, hasn’t been for months but they still have the sign outside and shows on here as a post office. Very annoying.
