The opening hours are wrong on their website and on Google. Having tried to visit on a Friday, when they say they close at 5, I was informed at security on the way in at 4:35pm that they always close at 4:30, with the remaining 30 minutes only open for Pensioners and not the public.

So, I try to go to their online shop to buy two packs of Christmas cards, but they want to charge me £18 for delivery on top of the price of the cards.

I do want to support the Royal Hospital and its good work, but I'm very unhappy at the way they present themselves to the public.

Great post office experience but we think we were pickpocketed in the shared entrance between the museum and the post office. Beware.

This IS open 2 days a week (lockdown 3, Jan 2021) but ONLY for residents of the Royal Hospital. Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am-4pm FYI. They also take a huge lunch break daily, so it's barely open even for residents.

Bear in mind this post office is NOT open during the coronavirus!

I visited on 28.6.22 after lunchtime and had a terrible experience there. I never write reviews, but I was treated so rudely by the gentleman in attendance at the counter, I must mention it here. He tried to overcharge me postage, classifying both items as parcels rather than large letter. My measurement were correct and they fit through the plastic template just fine. I corrected him and as he we so offensive, I decided not to use this postoffice. He tiraded at me that I wasted his time and his resources. When I apologized he raised his voice: No you are not sorry! He tried to humiliate and shame me in front of everyone in the shop. I went to an alternative branch and posted both my items as large letters, as usual. I am sadly not comfortable enough to return to this branch again. He needs to be given customer service training and keep his temper under control. So dissapointed!

Was closed today due to an event but no information about this online - would recommend having an alternative option in mind!

Tiny but very friendly postoffice located within the complex. Souvenir shop selling trinkets as well as the usual stationary. Note. It is a gated entrance into the complex which is manned.

Excellent small post office with very helpful and cheerful staff. Souvenirs of the Chelsea Pensioners also available.
