Baldock Post Office

The man who runs this shop was rude and short with me just because I asked some questions about first class Vs special delivery and whether or not there was any kind of student discount. If he thinks that's cheap, maybe he should remember the time he hired me to work for him when I was 15, conveniently made me "redundant" a week later after I told him I had an anxiety disorder, and then tried to not pay me for my time even though he only owed me £27.

would never visit this post office, rude and unhelpful staff. never a smile nor social interaction...their policy during covid was discriminatory and very upsetting with reference to masking up.

The shop is in a convenient location with parking outside. However, I find the owner incredibly rude, abrasive and appears to go out of his way to be unhelpful. Not sure why he acts like this, but the behaviour is so bad that I avoid this post office and use one further afield.

Great service, helpful on postage on what’s best for parcel. The only one I like to use.

This post office is NOT OPEN after 4.45pm. Ignore what it says on the post office website. Every time I’ve gone it they’ve said they’re not open and there’s a sign on the door. Update online please?! What a waste of everyone’s time

Fails to update website with changes in opening hours. Walked down to post a parcel at 2 only to find it had closed at 11, 6 hours early!! Time to close this branch for good.

I never expected racism and rudeness like this…

I have had several packages go missing from this location, the latest of which was a high value item. My wife went inside to discuss this with him to see if the item was scanned out as the receiving company could see from the tracking it had not. The owner was very rude shouting down my wife without letting her get a word in either way.

I would avoid this location purely as he states it’s not his problem the package has gone missing and there is no way to know if the item has left the property. I was handed a receipt by a cashier when I dropped off the package but apparently this does not prove I handed it in… even though there is a tracking number on it.

Shelves are always bare so literally no point in visiting this location.

If you have high value goods to send I would avoid this post office especially if there are any problems as the owner will literally shout you out of the property.
