Clapham Common Post Office

Phil who works here is one of the kindest, patient and hardworking people, he deserves a pay rise and recognition! Sometimes I have seen him on his own working with a huge queue which is not fair on him, but he is always positive and kind.

Sadly didn't catch the ladies name but she was a amazing help with my mum's energy rebate today, very clear / friendly & helpful

Only the woman who is welcoming people was kind cause she wasn’t talking. Almost everyone in there was so rude. If you feel like you don’t wanna do that job, you don’t have to. Not selling normal envelopes and making you buy bubble ones then it’s a larger size, so you have to pay more for postage as well.

In the 7 years I’ve lived here, I have never seen every counter be staffed. I don’t know why they have 6 when they staff a maximum of 3 (even in the lead up to Christmas).
Everything seems unusually slow. Things which take 2mins in westminster seem to take 10+ mins here. Even sending a postcard takes a minimum of 10mins. Worlds slowest computer users? I don’t know, but don’t expect anything fast.

Wanted to drop off a medium sized parcel but was turned away because they had no room left to store it

Post office closed due to staff shortages (in a very poorly displayed sign that a group of elderly customers standing outside in the rain in confusion had trouble reading). Google hasn’t been updated with opening times which means I (and others) have made a wasted journey in the rain to collect a parcel. Very disappointing and shows a complete lack of organisation. Due my own work commitments - I will now not be able to collect my parcel until at least Friday. My heart sank when I knew my parcel had been delivered here because I know how terrible the service is. Please could you update google to let us all know when you plan to open again? I hope head office sees this!

Wonderful staff! Always so helpful when you have clothing returns and on one occasion I arrived at 17:33 on a Monday evening when they were just closing and two of their staff not only allowed me to send a very important item recorded delivery even after they had closed up but also guided me through the process. I can’t remember their names unfortunately but the man had glasses and a beanie hat as he left and the woman had black frizzy hair. Excellent service going the extra mile!

Whilst I've seen relatively long queues with few staff in the main outbound parcel drop off, I have used this for drop offs only (on a number of occasions). Each time I've been able to complete the process in less than 5 minutes and the staff have been extremely helpful. No complaints, I will continue to use it.
