Portobello Road Post Office

I had two packages with prepaid labels back to & Other Stories and they refused the packages because they said that they were too big and one was over 2kgs but they were the boxes that & Other Stories had sent me with the items and I attached the specific label for those packages that are bigger/heavier... I was on the phone with customer service from & Other Stories and they didn't understand why this post office was refusing the packages. The post office was unhelpful and just refused to do anything about it. So the advice from customer service was to try a bigger post office... I'm just so confused and upset with this place. Never going back again.

Staff are always happy to help and have gone above and beyond for me. I have been going multiple times a week for over 2 years. It's a smaller family run post office, however they are always smiling and friendly.
In response to the other reviews: They do know what they are talking about (perhaps other users couldnt understand) and just to remember that these are people not robots.

I cannot say enough good things about this Post Office. I have used it for the last 2.5 years for my online business and it has made my life so much easier. Every single one of the staff is so lovely and helpful. I am moving away from the area and am so sad to leave this Post Office. I wish all Post Offices were like this! I don't understand the bad reviews on here, I think they must be confusing it with the Ladbroke Grove PO which is the total opposite to the Portobello one in terms of customer service. I travel further to the Portobello PO just for the nice staff who go above and beyond.

Always get extremely poor service at this post office, especially from the women behind the counter and generally only use this post office as a last resort.

Today, I advised the woman that I was there to collect an Amazon parcel and I was asked whether it had been sent there for me to collect...........??? REALLY!!!

I think they deliberately ask stupid questions to irritate and antagonise.

I waited 15-20 mins to be served for a recorded premium parcel delivery (around £12), no problem.

When at the counter, the female employee wasn’t able to find the address and highlighted this to me several times. I asked if they could manually input the address as per the pre-label on the parcel to ensure the parcel was sent to the correct address? The response from the female employee was the system is not showing the address on the parcel but she can use the street address instead (with no company name/door number) and charge me £12? The address shown on the label was an overseas address with company name with full address details, like are you being serious...you're going to charge me a premium to hopefully get the parcel delivered to only a street address abroad?!?!

So think about this, after 30 mins the female employee wanted to charge me a premium for a recorded service for an item to be sent abroad incorrectly because SHE'S incompetent or can’t be be bothered to input/find the correct address? The worst thing was she was shouting for advise across the branch to her colleague.

After going back and forth I then decided to use an online service at home due to the incompetent employee. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME.

If you are going to use this post office, AVOID THE FEMALE EMPLOYEE at all cause as she's completely clueless but Frankly useless.

I've used this post office for many years now, it wasn't until i launched my own small business that I realised how much support from your local post office makes an impact. Silojini has been amazing support, providing efficient services and always available to answer questions. The whole team goes out of their way to ensure effective solution for my parcels and great customer service. I would be lost without them! It goes without sayin that I highly recommend this post office in the local area.

The ladies working there are not very enthusiastic and exited about their work. Few times I have to pay for my RETURN parcel, which was prepaid or free of charge. When I asked why, she was talking something unintelligible under her breath. Prices are very high and staff are not helpful to find better, cheaper way to send your mail. Also this post office is always, always overcrowded.

I absolutely love the service at this branch. This is my local post office, I’m always welcomed by the staff and they deliver 10/10 customer service. A special thank you to Jamini / Yalini / Silojini !!!
