Surbiton Post Office

I had the worst experience in this Surbiton post office at last Thursday, Fri and Sat. I made 3 visits in 3 days to sort out my Re delivery parcel. The oldest woman( I think she is the manager there) is the rudest and helpless, unprofessional person I have ever met!!!
The 1st and 2nd visit were became clear that the ID provided by myself did not match the name on the parcel. This was accepted. However, when I asked for help about how the parcel could be retrieved, the manger refused to clarify the procedure for collection and made a number of rude gestures to myself. She remained unhelpful and very unpleasant. The 2nd visit I approached the manager and asked her where the parcel would be sent and who to contact. She replied abruptly 'I don't know' and said 'I can't tell you'. I asked again for clarification of the procedure for collection and was met with a similarly abrupt and unhelpful response. Even worse on the 3rd visit: I asked my English speaking husband to accompany me. He appraoched the manager and asked about the matter and how the item could be claimed. However, the manger gave conflicting and confusing information in response. My husband asked several times where the item was to be delivered and how it could be claimed.
I asked the manager to give a clear answer to my husband. She then pointed with her finger through the window in the direction of my face. She yelled that she would not give the parcel to me. I then asked her why she did not send the item back as I requested the previous day. She yelled again and shouted: 'I have the right to hold it'. How ridiculous!! I’m so surprised how could let the rude woman working in the place and who give her the power that she can hold my parcel issue???? I have made a formal complaints about this woman to the Royal Mail customer service. Her rudeness, unhelpful and misleading attitude was totally unacceptable!! The rude woman should be kicked out!!

I would NOT RECOMMEND any customer go this post office, to say the staff are rude would be an understatement. They are happy to shout profanities to customers who are just trying to post their items. There is no sense of cleanliness or customer service. I filed a formal complaint as no person should experience such horrendous treatment so AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

I would not recommend this post office anymore. I recently needed to send an important letter to the council. I purchased 1st class tracked postage via the Royal Mail website, but when I tried to drop off the letter at Surbiton Post Office they said they were unable to print the label and send it, so I had to pay again for postage and never received a refund. 8 days later still no tracking update and it looks like Surbiton Post Office have lost my letter! Royal Mail strikes might be the reason for the delay, but still unacceptable and I won't be using this post office again!!

I’ve been using this post office for 9 years and it’s just an ordinary post office. Nothing particularly good or bad about it. I’ve never been treated rudely. Yes, they are pedantic when the weight or size of the parcel doesn’t conform to the label you bought. But it’s just them doing their job. I’ve never seen them being rude or shouting or making gestures at any other customers.

They just seem to have mental illness, you can't communicate with them at all for a dbs check they ask you for the original bank statements in 2022 where you can only have them in a pdf format you print it out and use it.

Last time I use this Post Office!
I went in with my dog and, only after queuing for 20mins and being about to be served, I was asked to leave because dogs are not allowed.
Bare in mind that there is NO sign outside that says so! How is someone meant to know that dogs aren't allowed if there is no sign at the entrance?!?

To be told by a smirking cashier that three of six packages (identical in packaging, size and weight) conform to large letter but three are small parcels.
Large letter packaging clearly doesn’t meet Surbiton P.O large letter standards. That was my first and definitely last visit to this Post Office. The two star reviews are probably pitched correctly. New counter staff needed.

The staff and the service is fantastic. They are ever helpful esp. when I come over in a rush to get my business posting done, they also supported my printing needs and have a smile on their face when serving me no matter how busy it is.
