Windermere Avenue Post Office

Post Office is only open until 7pm on weekdays not 11pm I have been a few times and they always close the Post Office at 7pm. Also Sundays they do not open at all.

Trading hours advertised do not agree with what they actually provide.

Absolutely awful service. Extremely rude, not helpful, no customer service skills what so ever.
I went at 4pm and he told me it's closed and will reopen later (strange!). It appeared that he was trying to close for the day and wanted to leave early. So I bluffed him and said, fine, I will wait right here until he opened again. I could see him Counting money, filling out forms and putting things away. There was a queue starting to form by this point. He was saying the same to them too. But I remained patient And watched him the whole time standing right next to him (as it's a very small shop) and low and behold, 15 minutes later... he said it's now reopen. Hmmm... funny that! Avoid this post office where possible.

Very poor service from all 3 Indian ladies. Demanding and snappy ! Please send them work somewhere back of house and not deal with ppl. I have stopped going to this post office because every time there will be a comment ot attempt to not accept my order and push for more expensive size package. * And my orders are pre-paid online ( I only need to drop it off) I can only imagine if I have to have a conversation with them.

The postmaster is working for shop and post office when we are queing he tells us to wait until he serves his customer for the shop he says wait I need to serve the shop customer first we are also first we have been waiting for a long time he needs multiple staff he can’t run both things alone please stand with us

I would highly recommend that nobody go to this post office. I went to the post office on the 1st of September to do a transaction,Ie pay some bills half with card half with cash.
After deciding to accept my cash payment he then insisted that I pay on card which I then agreed to do the owner of the shop then decided to tell me that his system wasn’t working it was something to do with the post office head office.
As a person of Afro-Caribbean descent I knew that this shopkeeper was discriminating against me and did not wish to take my money or my business .

The sign said the post office is opened 7 days a week but when I came in the guy said the post is closed today. Waste of my time. Horrible.

What a waste of time to go there use their's service. If you want your item sit there you are welcome to go . I suggest throw your parcel in bin is better solution

Really poor customer service. I was turned away saying they are on their lunch break till 14:15. Been coming here and having to put up with how rude they are but this is just more to add. Atleast put an update online for people to plan ahead. They are very rude in general and the only post office around so I guess they can do what they please and get away with it. I would recommend you go somewhere else if you can or use the dropoff box just beside the pub.
