Mottingham Post Office

Really bad service. Like most of the other reviewers, this post office should be closed down. The husband and wife duo have no customer service and no patience. They demanded fiercely that I should be clearer in telling them what Royal Mail postal services I needed when I was at the counter the other day. And they are always pushing for first class, tracked postal services just because they possibly get higher commissions from them. “Sneaky” is how my husband refers them whenever I mention about this particular post office.

My son went to post a letter with them that only needed a proof of postage certificate as I had paid and printed correct postage online. The lady told him he hadn't paid enough and refused to accept it unless he paid another £1.20 more for large letter. This was absolutely not necessary as I had checked it thoroughly and all the correct weight and sizes were right for the postage I paid. Even if they had been wrong the next price band was only 14p more!! My son knew no better and paid it but I am furious that they could take advantage of a young teen like that and refused to do anything about it when I went back. I now go to William Barefoot or Chislehurst where the customer service is so much better and Honest!!

Horrible !!!! Extremely poor customer service and a very hostile post office man with white hair Behaviour gets worse each time today he went as far as complaining that I was making people wait because I didn’t want to send four of the items i was posting signed for ,it even gets worse he said he couldn’t read my hand writing and that I needed to learn English properly with his poor English(this is not the first time he needed glasses !!! I miss the old owners this man acts like he hates life and is being forced to sit there my flat mates also had a terrible experiences with him .

I will never use their service again such a pity.
And I Wish I could have given them 0 star .

IF YOU WANT A PIST OFFICE OR SWEET SHOP & A FRIENDLY ONE THEN DON'T GO INTO MOTTINGHAM VILLAGE POST OFFICE SE9 ESPECIALLY WHEN THE TWO WOMEN ARE IN THERE ONE ON THE SWEET SHOP SIDE & THE OTHER ONE ON THE POST OFFICE SIDE. BOTH IF THEM JUST DON'T KNOW AT ALL OR NOTHING IN WHAT THEY SHOULD BE DOING FIR THEIR JOB & FOR THE PUBLIC. 1 / OF 10: IF THAT. THEY BOTH SHOULDN'T BE WORKING IN THERE AT ALL DON'T DESERVE THEIR POSITION. UNBELIEVABLE. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME GO IN THERE YOURSELF & FIND OUT. POOR COMMUNICATION & VERY VERY POOR LOW SERVICE SO MISS THIS ONE & GO TO ANOTHER SHOP / POST OFFICE.TRUST ME

Never had any problems, decent customer service

The postal counter staff named 'Sue' is very rude, indirectly accused me of using fake stamps and pressurise customers to use a more expensive postage service for letters and parcels, in order to charge more money.
Instead of apologising, her response was "I did not say anything".

AVOID, find another post office

Horrible experience, rude and unhelpful staff (lady in particular). Always trying to squeeze more money out of the customers postage. Even worse service if you are bringing in a prepaid postage label.

Terrible customer service!
No manners for the clients the lady/staff member rejects parcels based on its aspect ignoring dimensions and weights specified on the Royal mail's website.
