Mitcham Post Office

HORRIBLE POST OFFICE, A DISGRACE FOR THE ROYAL MAIL BRAND. The shop keepers start mopping the floor while customers are queuing to be served, count money in front of customers instead of prioritising serving them, close the shop at the busiest time (lunchtime hours) in order for them to have lunch and close the shop before the stated closing hours. For my business, I need to go into the post office most days and every time I go I witness at least one of the above issues. Often I have to wait patiently for the woman to finish counting her money before she agrees to serve me or wait outside the door for them to finish having their lunch. Once I went to the woman be served but instead of saying anything she continued to count money in front of me, looking down at me for having the courtesy to interrupt her money counting. The customers behind me got the same treatment and we were sent to queue at the other counter where the queue was already very long. Another time I had to wait for the shop keeper to finish helping the other member of staff to transcribe some sort of leaflet. It's a terrible experience and for this reason I have started using Hermes more than Royal Mail so I don't have to go into this horrible post office as much as I used to. It's a shame how Royal Mail is losing so many customers by allowing all of these unqualified corner shops to carry out postal services on behalf of Royal Mail.

One of the best customer service I ever received it from Anu and Raj, both of them welcome me with smile and sort out my issue without any issue. Anu smile and made my journey easy and smooth. Thank you.

The guy who works in this post office always over charges me, just happened again now! Avoid being served by him not unless you want bad customer service and to be overcharged!!!

Got to agree with almost every negative review. The skinny Asian young lady behind the counter needs to attend a customer service training course her customer service is appalling and rude.

I found this to be a great little post office. . . nice friendly service (smiles and all), but most importantly 'honest' service. I had a parcel to ship at another post office in Northborough Road Mitcham (by morleys) and that man always overcharged me time and time again... this lady brought this to my attention and charged me the correct rate.. and.. told me how to get my money back from the other thieving post office. Gotta love em!

...continuing review in September 2022: I concur, all of the above to still be true. If you are a positive person, you will get nothing but love back from this team. Be kind.. it all comes back ten fold.. especially when you have an issue they can help with when needed. #BlessedToBeABlessing

Extremely rude lady staff. Does not have any manners and refused to give me her name. I cannot believe the level of attitude given when I asked a simple question. Her older female colleague then piped up and joined in with being rude and dismissive. These kind of people shouldn’t be in customer service If they have no manners.

A Dificult one to Find but a Reliable in Both Services as a Shop and has a Courier Post Office.
Royal Post Offices Collections Continue Being Twice a Day if Not Three Times a Day.

Lady with glasses year after year very rude , absoutley no customer service , talks about you or customers in her language in front of you. Stopped using this post office , travel all the way to collierswood and mitcham tram to use post office as I will not accept her behaviour ( others will no doubt follow suit) complained to post office customer service - nothing never done.
