Woolston Post Office

The best post office in the area by far. Always happy to serve you even if you have quite a few parcels at once. The owner is always friendly and works very hard. He let us come into the shop while it was tipping it down with rain outside which he didn't have to do. Elsewhere some shop staff seem like they hate their job but this place will always put customers first no matter how busy it is. Will always be a regular! :)

I'm down here 3 or 4 times a week to send small parcels.

Sometimes there is a queue but never too long. Screens and social distancing observed, floor is clearly marked.

I can go in sometimes and they're willing to chat smile and laugh. Other times I can go in and if an issue is slightly difficult their attitude can totally change. I had a return parcel for New Look and when I downloaded the form from from Royal Mail it clearly stated to take it to my nearest Post Office or Royal Mail branch for free label printing. They argued very clearly that the QR code wasn't for them and when I read back what the email says as to where to take it the gentleman was very short and said 'yes Royal Mail, not Post Office'. They just weren't willing to say, I'm sorry we can't do that for whatever reason, sorry to inconvenience you. Not sure how to approach them with queries. Next day they were laughing and joking with me again.

I was very worried about visiting this post office due to the bad reviews BUT do not let that bother you! A lot of the bad reviews are from years ago and this post office is wonderful! The staff are very friendly and helpful.
It does feel a little run down and empty but it serves its purpose, even during covid lockdowns the staff are fantastic! I can’t imagine how much they’ve had to deal with!

No restriction at door entry regarding amount of customers allowed in this small size post office.
No hand sanitizer available within the shop, remember to bring your own, as heavy hand touching on both sizes of main entry/exit door handle.
Controlled distances markings on floor of a one way system around the floor area.
Single standard push/pull door for entry and exit, not user friendly for wheel chairs.
No general toilets available within this location except in Lidl store 15 minute walk or 4 minute car ride away in Woolston.
Ample parking in three different locations near the post office. Council car park has two disabled parking bays and two electrical car charging bays.
On occasions Cafe' near post office is open for hot food/drinks with available one toilet, not suitable for disabled or Wheel chairs.

i am applying for provisional driving license on 18/11/2022 and with my application i attached a my original passport but till time i am not received my passport yet . it is one month above to apply .its worst service they have take extra money from prority service but my document is not recevied yet .

Helpful and friendly staff (except for the lady at the front, could do with a bit of smiling) when open however been let down a few times now when they've just decided not to open. Most recently being Sat 03/04, supposed to open for 2 hours, and I knew this as I checked the opening times the night before. In the morning there was a queue of 6-7 customers at 10 am already. After about 10 mins of waiting in the queue, the opening times on google had been updated to closed as they clearly wanted to have a lie in. Will not be coming back to this post office again.
