Petts Wood Post Office

If i could give them no stars i would.

I have just sent a formal complaint to the post office about this branch as like other reviews below i have the same infuriating service time and time again.. This morning they tried to overcharge me but after some protestation she finally admitted the correct first class cost is £3 not £8 as she originally stated.. They also lie about the size of a parcel to be able to charge you the higher fee. They are rude and dishonest just to up their own commission.
I am assuming it is against policy to trick customers into paying higher prices, so please please please post office, re-train these dishonest shop owners.

Absolute wrongans! I went in to get some euros. Firstly the exchange rate was awful. They told me its different to what the post office list online. At the time of writing this the PO are offering 1.13 & these thieves gave me 1.10. Furthermore she short changed me by 100 euros! Luckily I counted the money when I got home & caught it. I went straight back & was given the extra 100 euros. Lucky I checked!

Had an IMPORTANT parcel waiting to be picked up until a certain date. Came in to collect it a week before the "deadline" but found that the idiots here requested it be sent back to the seller for whatever reason, long before the DEADLINE. Avoid. They make strange decisions behind your back.

The staff are rude and unhelpful. The service is slow and you are treated as if you are inconveniencing them. I will not be using this awful post office again.

Absolutely rude , miserable lot working here, they should shut this post office down , only been here couple of times and always left disgusted by the service. No customer service skills whatsoever.. useless people. If you have other options for post office I suggest you go elsewhere!

Zero stars wasn’t an option.

Worst post office I have ever been to. The woman was incredibly rude and after leaving my parcels with her for return, the parcels were sent to the wrong companies. The labels had been swapped round. Not sure what she gained from doing this but I have not been able to get my returns from either company, would have been better just keeping the parcels at least I would still have the products!
A month before this incident, a parcel was sent back to me that I had originally returned because it was ‘not in the correct condition to be returned’, my parcel had been ripped open and trampled on (you could see foot prints on it that weren’t there originally when I gave it to the post office) and the return label stuck on the parcel had been ripped off.

Do not go to this post office ever, go to the Orpington one instead. Hopefully the post office get new staff or remove the post office all together as it serves no purpose.

Never like this post office and tried to avoid it most of the time. The stuff is always rude and slow. I had to return parcels so I went there today, the woman on the counter watches her mobile all the time, while scanning my parcels. It took her 2 seconds to scan and she has to let me wait another 15 seconds to scan the next parcel because she was watching her mobile!!! Definitely will make the complain to Royal Mail!

Worst post office pls avoid posting through them, even if you post it 1st class they will get it write all the information & the address wrongly, unprofessional service , lack of customer care.
I have posted a parcel 1st class, the lady there wrote the address wrongly & it was supposed to be returned to me still haven’t received it, I went back the lady didn’t even bother her self to check what went wrong, never had issues when posting from Chislehurst high street one where the staff are super efficient definitely going to complain to Royal Mail about Petts wood branch the area deserves better than this for sure.
