Portland Road Post Office

This is one of the post offices I go frequently to and have been using for a few years. All the postmasters are very nice and will always go the extra mile to help you out. The queues can be long at times - but that isn't there fault and is normal during these times. Some of the negative reviews on here are amusing - since this has not been my experience at all.

Everyone associated with Portland Post office are exceptional and they are a big part of what makes the community here so special. They always go out of there way to be helpful and we can’t recommend them enough.

The worst post office I have been to. They are not helpful.
I got there before the closing time and they wouldn’t serve me knowing full well that it was the last day I could send the item just because they wanted to close early.

They don't offer the services clearly shown in the website, then they send you to a closed post office.

Manager is extremely rude, laughed at my face when i came in after talking to a british gas on the phone who told me to go into the post office there and was treated like a joke, 0/5

This is by far the best post office I have ever used the guys that work there are great and very helpful and this is the only place I know and have ever heard of that sometimes opens between 30mins and a hour earlier than any other's but also stays open until 8pm which is very handy for our community as the area is a very busy place and has a massively wide variety of local people who really depend on having a reliable post office that really is appreciated by us all we're very lucky

Usually friendly staff.
I wish they did make use of the other tills especially during peak times/seasons.
Also, open times need to be accurate.
Just wasted a journey to the post office as website and open times on the post offices door states they are open till 8pm (this was a Tuesday). I rushed straight after work (arrived 7:54pm) to be told they close at 7:50pm.
A wasted journey and cab fare.

Great service, attentive staff. I often go to this post office rather than another one closer to my home because I get a smile and not a moody attendant. The openibg hours are great too.
