The Parade Post Office

Excellent service and friendly staff. The main post office section had to operate on reduced hours, as a couple of the staff were high risk during the CV-19 crisis, so it was only available for full service in the mornings. For anyone else apart from the sole operative to enter the main post office area, would require a complete sterilisation of that area. Most people were understanding of this and did not criticise.

Made the mistake of getting an amazon package delivered to this post office. Arrived to collect it today to be told that they can’t give me my package because they closed the main post office counter at 2pm despite being advertised as open until 6pm.

The guy behind the counter made no apology and made no effort to do what he could have quite obviously done - to himself to the counter and find my package.

So a totally wasted journey and the last time I will use this place as an option

Someone sort out when your opening times are. I went in Sunday and was told post office isn't open at all and to come back Monday at 08:00. I Come back Monday at 08:00 and told it isnt open until 9:00. Not a big fan of getting the run around. Completely doesn't line up with Google times

Inflexible and unhelpful, other more professional post offices in the area. Avoid.

Our local post office is brilliant. Staff always helpful and knowledgeable. Very lucky to have this on our doorstep at our local parade.

Rude and unhelpful service
I took a parcel for collection by DPD and was told blankly that they don't do pick up. The assistant delivered this information without looking up from counting and carried on ignoring me. When I queried what I had been told by the ebay website, she sighed heavily and said 2 customers had the same problem the previous day and suggested I contact e-bay to correct the misinformation. Since when has it been up to the customer to rectify incorrect data on behalf of a business??? I was then told by the other assistant to try 3 other depots. Does the code still work I asked? No idea they replied ....back to counting.

You know when you pop in to the post office to send something & there is that one person at the front of the queue doing their entire life admin? Yeah, that happened to me. This is a small post office inside a general shop. The post office is fine but avoid that guy in the queue.
