Fullhurst Avenue Post Office

Very rude - arrived one evening at 5.54pm to drop off a small parcel for something I sold on eBay, and the postage had a posting deadline on it. I had to wait a few minutes for the guy to arrive, and be told they close at 6pm. “But it’s 2 minutes to 6?” I said “well it’s closed” he tells me very irritably... go back next morning at 8.10am, see the guy again outside and he tells me they open at 8.15am. “Ok, but it says 8am on Google?” I reply “well it says 8.15am clearly on the door here” he says back, then adds”you can use another post office”. This confuses me as why would I go out my way to use another post office when I have one over the road? But maybe he’s right because then I wouldn’t have to deal with the guy that when I finally get to hand over my parcel just says “Give it here” in a tone that sound more like “Give it here a*****e” while looking like he wants me to drop dead. Next time I’ll jump on the bike or car and head to the other post office down the road...

*This review relates purely to the shop and NOT the post office services* Shocked to pay £1.89 for a 1.5L of Buxton water. Wasn't priced on the shelf, hence the shock at the price. The water round here tastes weird so had to be done! Won't be back again for buying any non-post office services. Water rip off!

This post office is so bad I did not have a good experience so bad I never go back ever. if I didn't have to give a star I wouldn't have

I don't know how these people are authorized to make important payments by a customer I have to pay a fine and by check and they turn to me saying they don't know what to do to who I have to send it to but I gave you a sheet where the sheet c 'it is written that it is necessary to send it to the incompetent sender

Oh my gosh. What a wait. The customer being served held up the queue! So unnecessary! Her address labels were confusing as the 'deliver to' stated her home address. She had 3 parcels. I mean seriously make it easy for the person serving. The post office assistant should've told her to wait aside until she sorted it. They are slow as it is. 6 people waiting right up to the main door. Training needed and other customers need to be thoughtful!

First time using but a poor service. I went in to collect a parcel with my 1 year old in my arms with my car parked outside. Once my parcel was handed over so they knew the weight of it no offer of help, even though the 2 people standing behind the counter (with no other customers in the shop) could see I couldn’t possibly hold my daughter and the large heavy parcel. I said I couldn’t do both and still nothing.
I went and sat my daughter in the car came back and even though I was struggling to hold the parcel in one hand while trying to get the door no help to even hold the door the man just stood and watched.

Actually my friend has sent me an items from this post office shop and then they lost the shipment, it took more than 15 works days, however it should not take more than 5 works days, I have tried many times to found it, eventually I don’t like it.

Used to be a very good post office with lovely staff, having used it for 15 years! Sadly it is no longer the case,since the pandemic the new post master is very abrupt,slow and can be rude. Not at all helpful and declines to take certain parcels and letters despite it stating to be scanned by post office. I go straight to another post office and no issue!Life is hard enough,it costs nothing to be helpful and polite!Won't be using this post office any more!
