Many years ago the staff here used to be really helpful and pleasant but no longer! The staff here now delight in refusing to facilitate peoples needs and give them their parcels for the smallest of reasons. As you can tell from previous reviews the woman working here is a monster! But now she's been joined by an overweight, foreign man (european possibly italian?) who speaks with an accent who is an utter jobsworth. If he can find a way NOT to help he will. And he has a creative attitude to the truth and just makes things up when giving reasons why he cant possibly help! A little fat dictator with a "no can do" attitude.

If you are feeling happy, pick up a parcel from here and they’ll sort you out.
Was told off because „the delivery driver had to carry this heavy package to you twice“ (well, that’s why I left delivery instructions to leave the parcel in front of my door if I’m not there).

I received an email telling me they tried to deliver my parcel Friday 25th - this was clearly a lie given 1. they were on strike, 2. the tracking clearly showed they never bothered to deliver as it never made it from Whitechapel depot.

So, I went today at 11:15am to get my parcel and it was closed with a long queue outside...it was supposed to open at 11am. Someone found a member of staff at the staff entrance - they came out to look at the opening hours! Yes, their own staff. Their comment was "let me see if I can find someone". 10 mins later and still no lights or sign of life.

They go on strike expecting a pay rise - for a service like that, I'd reduce their pay!

Thank you Vincent and Mark (Whitechapel delivery) you both made me smile for the rest of the day thinking there is still some kindness in this world. I will hopefully get my parcels on Monday. Have a happy holiday.. thank you again

They did not bother to deliver the parcels/mail after their strike and lie about it and make you go collect it.
It's the second time.
And the first time they dare to question about my name and ask me if my parents had gave me my name. They also asked me to use a real name.
That was absurdly racist and Royal Mail has to do something about it.

No issue with the staff or service. They seem helpful enough, but the one star comes from the fact that, no matter what time of day - there will be a 30-45 minute queue, as they only ever have one person at the parcel desk. It's shameful that they can't hire any new employees to deal with the demand they are under. Terrible service.

I have had to use this collection office (not through choice) for the last few years and the service has been a bit of 'hit and miss' at times. It's never been brilliant but usually managed to get my post even if it meant having to deal with rude and unhelpful staff at times. My most recent experience was week where after several failed attempts at long queues during reduced opening hours I finally managed to get to the front desk. Only to have my red card returned saying 'it's not here'. And expecting me to just go away.

It seems like any information they have about your delivery is a closely guarded secret and only given to you in small portions and only if you ask...!!

So where is my parcel I ask. ...It's not here and you have to contact the number on the card.

Why is is not here? ...Gone to the sender.

It's only been 12days since the card was left, look at the date on the card? ...Call the number on the card.

There's no reference number on my card, how will they know. Can I have the number from your system? ...Call the number on the card.

Should the item not still be here, it's only 12days? ...We've had it since 2nd March!

How was I supposed to know if the card was only left on the 27th March? ...call the number and explain. Our system also shows you've booked delivery twice before that date.

How is that possible if I only knew about it on the 27th? ...call the number and explain.

So I left disappointed having waited 5 days to be able to get to the collection office and wasting a further 20min waiting in queue outside.

Call 'the number on the card' surprise surprise it was an automated service which allowed me to book a delivery for saturday. Saturday came and went waited all day, and guess what? No delivery!!!

Called the seller and got the tracking number, checked online to see it has gone to the sender on 29th (only 2 days after the card was left) but the sender didn't receive it either. Called another number and spoke to a person finally only to be told royal mail don't have it and there's not much they can do.

What a waste of everyone's time. I know Royal Mail are very busy but you would expect them to be able to do the only thing they are there to do!!

Very rude and unhelpful staff, extremely disappointed with the poor level of service and the reluctance to help customers, from now on where possible I will choose a different provider.

The delivery office was closed at 14 yesterday, although the provided informations on the website and the paper on the front door. Anytime, I’m forced to go there (because delivery drivers tend to claim that “there was no one at home” which is never the true and leave the little paper instead of packages) the stuff is rude and slow.
