Walton Street Post Office

I strongly recommend not going to this post office. The staff is very rude and slow, the place has a weird smell and there is a much better post office just 5 minutes from this one, on 17 Woodstock Road. I don't normally post reviews but after the unprofessional and rude service I've received on this post office a couple of times, I thought I would warn other people to not go here.

The Royal Mail Post Office services at this location have permanently closed. Nearest Post office near St Giles Church, Woodstock Road

Avoid. This used to be a very good shop and post office but now is run by incompetent, resentful, and ill-mannered staff who overcharge by however much they think they can get away with.

Wowzers this place is run by crooks... My wife first went there and had to leave after they wouldn't tell her the price of sending a simple package.

Then I went there to buy a simple stamp to Europe.

I was charged £1.90, despite the official Royal Mail price being £1.70 (and I was told that £1.90 was the official price).

Long story short, they will charge you whatever they think they can get away with, and should be stripped of their license ASAP.

I complained about this “Post office” to be told it wasn’t a post office, just an independent retailer running a courier service???
Doesn’t it still display post office signs?
I complained after being over charged for 5 parcels at £4.10 each, 4 of which would have been Max £3.20 at PO and the other was even smaller!
Had to ask for proof of posting, which was hand written and told parcels wouldn’t be sent until Monday even tho it was only 3pm on a Saturday

Walton Street Post Office closed over a year ago. This is now called Walton Stationers. It is NOT a Post Office. It is a stationery shop offering expensive private postal services. The Post Office signs have now been removed. Google please update this listing.

Not a post office as I learned to my cost, very very expensive! And poor customer service as well, talking loudly on the phone the whole time, and treating me like a child.

I see why the reviews are so bad! Asked for the cheapest postage to return a parcel to a seller and got one of the most expensive ones, dont post many items so didnt realise. Karma will get you!!!
