Gedling Road Post Office

Having arranged a redelivery to this post office for today (Christmas Eve) the owners took it upon themselves to turn the parcel away when redelivered because they "did not want to be stuck with it if it wasn't collected" . When I called them to ask why they had done this when their post office was given as an option for redelivery the only response was the phone being put down on me.
Unacceptable on many levels including lack of Christmas spirit & deciding instead to add more stress in to people's lives for one's own convenience.
You run a post office, it is your job to deal with post !

The worst service I’ve ever had, the lady and gentleman behind the counter were verbally abusive for no reason, i’d rather walk / drive an extra hour to avoid this post office. Just do not hold your phone or look at your screen when you’re inside their shop, lock your phone away to avoid being verbally attacked and sent to the back of the que hahahaha. I deem their customer service completely unacceptable, I had a really really really terrible experience in this shop.

just had a bad experience at this post office, the man at the counter has no manners & does not know how to deal with people- he’s rude, & lacks interaction skill of basic communication.

Terrible service that I encountered today at this post office. The man at the counter insisted I wait thirty minutes before I get served, even though there was nobody else inside the shop. So I waited patiently, without any hesitation and then when we finally served me, he was rude, abrupt and very unwelcoming.

I certainly will not be going here again as I’ve never experienced such an unfriendly service before.

Great service as always! Never had any problems or issues with anyone that works here! They take interest in how you are and what you’re up to instead of just accepting parcels etc! Nice to have a little chat and cheeky banter! Keep up the good work 🤩

I go in this postoffice EVERYDAY he is never rude or angry as some people have posted.. he is fantastic with my children and gives them a little treat everytime we visit and always asks me about my day and how I am.. people in Arnold need to chill out..most who live here are too entitled its a post office not 5 star service get over your selves !

I would give 0 stars if I could. The man at the counter is the rudest I have ever encountered at a post office in this area.
I use special delivery bags, and on getting to the counter realised the address had wiped off.... I asked for a sticky label and he said "we don't have any" I said that was surprising for a post office. I walked to the door, he shouted from the counter, "if you want another bag, you can have one or do what you like" on getting back to the counter,.... he said "its your post, you can do what you like" he was so angry....maybe he doesn't like his job. I promptly said I was going to another post office. As I left I literarily saw him coming after me filming me. I got a picture of him. I will be making a formal complaint.

A true gentleman. The person at the counter assisted me in February, while I had a "senior moment" after not finding my car keys while sending a passport application. He went out of his way to confort me (I told him I had lost my wife in January and was feeling unwell). I went again today and he recognised me, asked about how I am feeling and took a genuine interest with empathy and warmth. Besides the human aspect, which I think is paramount, the professional advice and service he offers are both excellent. I want to share this as a recognition for a true gentleman.
