Derby City Post Office

The staff are always helpful, patient and friendly, despite the place being so desperately understaffed. There should be twice as many people working there, on Mondays and Fridays at least. It's a nightmare for them, and us, most days of the week. Queues out the door most days. The shop has about 7 tills, but only 2 are ever open....

Long queu, understaffed. When I made it to the counter was told to come back next day because registered Mail not sorted yet. Document was needed for a very important purpose.

Four years ago it used to be so good and delivered good and prompt service. Nowadays i have observed their service is so poor- waiting for a long time before being served. Only one or two people working at the counters. Despite having the self service machines they are not being used. Most counters are out of use. The place looks very dark and clutter everywhere.

Dreadful place It is devoid of any character or cheer. The place is woefully understaffed. No one oversees the self service machines, which arent really self service for most transactions, so you will have to wait until somebody can be bothered to assist you - if they ever come....
The place randomly sells suitcases and vape juice...more becoming of a market stall than a post office.
Those staff that are employed seem to hate tbeing at work, and would rather be anywhere else.They clearly resent having to deal with customers...of which there are often lots.

None of the automated stamp and weigh machines were working and the there were big queues at the counter. This is fairly typical.

Huge queues to get to the tills and 5 self machines not working.. Lods of angry people.

Never enough staff, two staff on a Saturday. This is a city centre post office, always queues out of the door and no one to help.
Come her and expect to wait a long time

The staff was very unprofessional, incredibly arrogant. I have been to other cities as well but they were a lot more helpful. The arrogance was incredible, they made me go all the way to another post office .
