Not been in for a long time. Used to be a lady in here who had such an abrupt rude manner. Just a natural mood and grump. As I walked in I wonder if she'd gone...nope still there. Still abrupt...still rude

The youngish man who served me was very unfriendly and actually pretty rude. No hello, no please, no thank you. He had a very off-hand manner which made me feel very uncomfortable. I was very polite to him!

Today I was sending two parcels to the same address. For the first parcel, the lady at this Post Office confirmed with me that I needed a Second Class. For the second parcel, she didn’t ask which class I needed and just arranged for Special Delivery, which I didn’t realise until I read the receipt.

I thought we were defaulting to the same class of service for both parcels, so I didn’t specify my requirement for the second time. I don’t understand why she arranged a Special Delivery, the expensive service, right away.

Excellent service. I am there almost daily and find the staff helpful and efficient (& have great patience considering the amount I send each time!). Thank you.

I don’t know what post office the people below have been going to, but it’s certainly not the one in Penarth town centre. The staff and proprietor are unhelpful, surly, uninterested and rude. If they hate their jobs and their customers that much they would be better off choosing another vocation.

The trouble with post offices is that they have a monopoly on a lot of services and this makes the owners and staff complacent in their attitude and manner.

In this post office if you have an issue that requires effort, other than putting a stamp on, they do not want to know and find a million reasons why something can’t be done.

The last time I was in there posting a parcel I had a couple of letters, which I asked to be put in the sack, but they refused to take them and direct me to a post box in Plassey St. A post office with no letter postal facility!!! They just don’t want their postal bags getting cluttered up with your mail.

Do everything you can to avoid the miserable and unhelpful experience that is Penarth Post Office. Take your business elsewhere like I have.

Use them regularly because I do a fair bit of eBay selling. Generally speaking OK, perfectly business like and with a fair amount of ancillary products in there. Good overall.
