Esher Library

Great to have such a wonderful local resource. Everyone please use it so it doesn't disappear!

However, there are a few areas it could improve. The first major one is that it doesn't have a loo which makes it very difficult to stay all day to study, or for older people/parents with young children. Esher Library, could you please consider opening your toilet to the public? It would make the library so much more user friendly. Having to go down to a coffee shop isn't practical for a lot of people, including those with disabilities such as myself.

The other one is the noise level. While it's understandable that visiting children will make noise, the librarians themselves speak very loudly and don't seem to try to keep their voices low. This somewhat ruins the whole purpose of a library, that it is a quiet communal space for us to read and study or work. I hope this can be improved so that it would be an even better communal space.

The library itself is nice, if a little small. But the staff are SOOOO loud, as a student who came to the library to get work done in a quiet place, they make so much noise either laughing or talking loudly. I find it very hard to focus.

Great selection of books, including a brilliant children's library catering from baby to teens. My 18 month old loves rhyme time on a Thursday and makes a huge fuss when it's time to go... fortunately she can be coaxed out with a new selection of books (she loves the check out machines and her penguin library card too...).

So lucky to have this amazing library with wonderful, friendly, helpful staff on our doorstep. My children absolutely love our library trips , fantastic selection of books and warm and welcoming staff making each visit a delight!

Great place for studying, quiet atmosphere and has free WiFi and plug sockets for phone and laptop along with desk spaces

Rudest librarian I have ever come across!!! Terrible attiude and kicked us out 10 minutes before library due to close as she likely wanted to go home early. Awful library and would not recommend or return.

Lovely staff who were welcoming and knowledgable of the topic I was after. My child also loves Rhyme Time :)
