NCP Car Park Tamworth Gungate

Only 1 star to enable me to get to put on a review (should be less) Loads of space but rarely do the ticket machines work. Pay by phone app charges an extra 30p. Needs rubbish clearing from the car park too as its a meds

Horrendous carpark company, both pay machines were out of service a few months ago and many people were unduly issues with parking fines. I attempted payment by card which seemed successful at the time but for some reason didn't complete the entire process. I attempted to appeal, but was rejected on the grounds that others had managed payment that day. I am disgusted at how I have been treated by this company and as a dad to one child and another on the way could really have done without this unfair charge. Would recommend every driver to avoid this carpark at all costs.

Received a marketing mail from this bunch of clowns trying to get me to sign up to the Autopay scheme which was in the form of a possible prosecution notice designed to scare people into signing up.
They stated they couldn’t find a record of my paying for the time I’d parked yet reading further down, it’s clearly a ‘nasty’ attempt to get you to sign up to Autopay.
What a grubby little company this is.

Not the nicest company to deal with, but handy location for town.

Machines don't work half the time and it's a total rip off. You shouldn't have to pay to spend money in your own town that's another reason most the towns are shutting down

They changed the app used to pay and it is not user friendly, the machine does not accept cash, it tells you to follow instructions on the card pad but the screen is scratched so badly you cannot read the instructions and the contact less is very hit and miss. The old app worked flawlessly and was very simple. Now it is almost impossible to turn up and quickly pay, so many angry and confused people standing around the machine !

Both payment machines are out of action, one has been this way for a while the other seems to have been vandalised with glue. Wasted time phoning up the help line. I had to install the app to pay. Others might not have access to do this and get fined.

These car parks are why I don't even consider travelling to Tamworth anymore. Council cries about people not wanting to come to the town centre meanwhile they have these cowboys messing up a simple parking system. Absolute joke and I haven't even been fined by them the machines NEVER WORK and let's face it - it's an NCP one so the reputation is through the floor before you even enter the joke.
