Epsom Downs Train Station - Southern Railway

Good northern service. Nice location between the houses.

Lovely Station, convenient and the service is very good considering it's at the end of a branch line! Station is clean and inviting too!

Lovely train station. Tucked away at end of residential road having been moved from previous location nearer The Downs. Also accessed via alleyway between 2 houses in Ruden Way.
If visiting the Derby or racing, this is NOT the station you need. Go to Tattenham Corner instead.

Small station with 1 platform for southern trains which go to London Victoria via Sutton. Easy access for wheelchairs & buggies. Trains every 30min on this line.

This station is fairly unique. There is only 1 platform situated here. It's step free to the platform and there is a train every 30 mins which tends to be a class 377 with 8 carriages. If I am honest, there is a lot of nature here and a nice viewpoint located here but the station itself is sort of in a random place. There are not a lot of signs directing you to the station itself which I found weird and the station building is used as a small school. There is a seating area located at the station and there is bike locks and ticket machines and it is within the oyster zone. It's a very quiet station and a place where you can just chill and relax!

Overall, I would give it a 3 star. Nothing exactly wrong with it, just not a lot of signs that make it visible and not much really going on in the area. There is a racecourse nearby however I believe most people use Tattenham corner rather then this station.

Station is hidden, very hard to find. Signs should be placed on roads leading to the station because last time I went there I had to knock in someone's home to ask where was the station .
Then I saw the station sign but soon realised it wasn't the station itself but a business and station was behind !
Never saw such stupid thing!

It was pretty empty every time I went - really convenient that you can tap your card to use the train, just remember to tap out (the train station does not have gates)

The station is great and a very helpful train driver who helped me get to Epsom. The only downside is that you get off the train here thinking that you are quite near Epsom, but you are not, and there isn't really anything much here.
