We recently secured a rental property through Doorknobs and can't fault the service Sophie and the team provided. With our current landlords deciding at the end of our tenancy to sell, we urgently needed to secure another tenancy. Having found a property on Doorknobs, Sophie was able to fit us in for a viewing and within a couple of days we had secured the let. The communication between us, Doorknobs and the landlord, all facilitated by Sophie, was excellent, with further viewings even arranged for us at short notice. We would highly recommend Doorknobs and look forward to moving into the new property soon, thank you Sophie and team for all your help!

I have been a tenant with Doorknobs for about a month and Sophie has been very responsive and helpful. Communication when sorting the tenancy agreement was good and minor issues at the property since moving in have been dealt with promptly. Very happy with the service so far.

My experience with Doorknobs has been impeccable. Sophie was faultless in her professionalism, happy demeanour and knowledge about the property I was interested in. Everything was processed swiftly, including referencing, all with friendly candour. I'm not sure why the other reviews have been so mixed; full marks from my point of view.

Having read previous reviews of the agency it was with trepidation that we entered into a transaction with the company. My take is, especially given recent reviews, that as one would expect the interests of the lessor comes before that of the lessee.

First, the positives. Upon us finding the property through the website, Sophie handled our check in fantastically. She was extremely thorough and communicative and made sure that various aspects were up to spec before we took up residence.

The maintenance team were responsive to issues especially in the case of emergency. Our landlord was in the process of selling our property towards the end of the lease and when we were inadvertently locked out there was a team on standby to assist despite it being a Sunday.

And now to checkout. We checked out the weekend of the snow hitting Tunbridge Wells. This caused a plethora of issues with transport and was not helped by our professional cleaner calling in sick the date he was due. Despite this, we over communicated and sought a new professional cleaner within an agreed timeframe. The cleaner came, sent invoices as well as photos of the job.

To cut a long story short we ended up in a lively and quite unnecessary back and forth with the agent in regards to checkout for a not inconsequential sum of money. Whilst the deposit was ultimately fully refunded it certainly felt as though this process was more hostile than it needed to be especially after an otherwise uneventful and enjoyable tenancy (one imagines for both parties).

I have had my property let by Doorknobs from 2014 to yesterday upon its sale. I have been delighted with their effective efficiency irrespective of which person or in which area of the process my contact with them has taken place. It seems to me be a well managed and run operation that operates from Katie and Jack at the top through all their staff. They do what they say they will do and do it well.

Had a good experience with Doorknobs as a renter including Sophie and Lucy which can’t be said for all estate agents! Would recommend.
