LiFE Residential East London Estate Agents

Two days before moving into the apartment, they came back saying they found a pest problem and they asked me to move my start date by 3 weeks. I was left with only one option, to move into a hotel as there is not sufficient time to go to market, find one and complete formalities. This agency also refused to take the responsibility for the ugly situation they created. Initially they said they can provide store room and temporary accommodation at a lodge until the 3rd inspection but they denied that too at the end. They offered refund of my money at the end and asked me to go find another apartment or wait until the problem is solved. This is a true story.

If the karma is real and I am pretty sure it will haunt them.

Edit: since the owner claims that Life Residential has offered to provide alternate accommodation for two weeks. Attaching a picture of their response. They refused to provide accommodation, storage and the bear the costs. However, they offered a refund of £420 admin fee if I move in after 24th (assuming the inspection on 24 goes well) and a £200 in case if I severe the relationship with them. However, they left the task of finding a store room, moving all the stuff into store room and taking out, finding hotel for family to me. That's a lot of work in my opinion with such a short notice. Expecting people to do this with such little time make no sense. Me and my wife both work full time, you expect us to stop working and do all these things just to cover your mistakes?

Update 2: Life agency claimed that they inspected the property before the current tenant moved out and they didn't find any pest issue. Their theory is that this pest problem surfaced all over the apartment with in 2 days. How can the pest problem surfaced just with in 2 days? That too on a scale which requires weeks of cleaning? Unless you missed this pest issue completely in your inspection.

I worked with Kyle Yousif on the letting of my flat in Royal Victoria. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. I appreciated this attentiveness and responsiveness. I was able to get all of my questions answered in a timely fashion and felt comfortable to move forward letting my flat. Having moved from the United States recently, there were several intricacies that needed to be considered to logistically make this move possible, and Kyle demonstrated an incredible amount of patience throughout the process. After dealing with some legendary bad agencies since i came to London, it was a breath of fresh air to deal with LIFE Residential after finding a property that was being handled by them.

The agent that handled my case was Kyle and he was super helpful. He went out of his way to ensure a very smooth process and also go even beyond that and help us even with moving. Very professional, responsive and clear. (To give you an idea, we literally handled everything within the same week, which was super important to me because of my move out deadline)

If anything, Kyle gave me an impression that LIFE Residential is shoulders above any agency i dealt with and i would definitely use them again in case i search for another property or recommend them to all my friends & collegues.

I will update the review once we eventually do the check-out one day and let everyone know how fair the experience was.

EDIT 1: Just to further update my review, my experience so far as a tenant with LIFE has been amazing. My property handler is Cristina L. and she has been giving me always quick replies and solutions to any issues or questions that arised so far during the tenancy. Big props to her!

I've been renting with Life for almost a year in 2 different flats, fantastic service overall compared to my previous experiences. Rebecca Stewart who was the property manager at my first flat with Life was great. She was helpful and liaised between us and the landlord effectively. I highly recommend.

Recently bought my first flat represented by Life Residential and their sales agents were extremely professional and communicative. I worked with Robert Van Toor in the initiation of purchase and on the completion date, he was very responsive and quick to address my queries, and worked efficiently with the sellers to close the sale. I also worked with Becky McElroy from the sales progression team throughout the process, she did a fantastic job chasing up solicitors on both ends, the onward chain developer, and kept me informed of the latest updates throughout the day —faster than my solicitor did, and really appreciated the urgency and timeliness of the whole transaction. Would definitely consider their services when I look to sell.
