We received an email two weeks after handing our keys in to tell us that the house needs sanitising and a full clean for a french bulldog (which we never had) they charging us for this and things such as window cleaning and maintenance of the garden but In the same breath are trying to charge us for the emptying of our garden waste bin due to our fresh garden maintenance.
We freshly painted the house before handing the keys back and deep cleaned the house. We took pictures before leaving!
We were handed over to this company after handing in our notice. They lost our notice and told us that we have never formulated a written notice, thus making us pay till the end of the lease (an extra month)
Attached you will find pictures of the house they say is inhabitable and the garden which they say is in need of a full over haul!
When we applied for the one we liked, we did it on the phone since they had all our details already, nice and easy. However, they failed to inform us that we weren't successful, which we had to chase up multiple times since I couldn't get a response other then, "we can ring you back" (never did). We weren't successful due to our moving timeline, which is fine.
The property that we wanted to view, when I spoke to the agency about it, they said because of the volume of interest, we couldn't view it, (the property is still listed and with no tenant in), Which was an unpleasant experience on the phone. We have good references and have documents from our current agency stating how "clean, tidy, and overall outstanding" tenants we are.
Unfortunately our experience with this agency has been fraught with a distinct lack of effective communication that suggests a slight discrimination towards prospective tenants that have pets. Given the properties we were interested in considered pets, being told by a member of the team that we couldn't view a property purely based on this apparently mitigating factor shows either an issue with uploading honest listings on Rightmove or an internal policy to downplay any tenants with pets.
