Highly recommend Oliver´s Town. We were first-time buyers and they helped us handle the purchase of our new home, and worked to make things move efficiently when our solicitors were not responsive and helping.

Stephen and Oliver, personally, made sure there was always a clear and good communication between us and the sellers. Always looking to make sure the deal will go through in the time frame their clients and us required. The team is very serious, responsive and responsible. Thanks to them, an experience that could have been negative because of our solicitor's lack of interest, resulted in a positive experience.

This is by far the worst letting agent I have ever had. When looking for a property to rent, they were very helpful and proactive. Once you signed a contract, it was like you didn't exist. Would ignore important maintenance requests for months, and you would have to call every day for two weeks to get any kind of response. We were left without a working fridge for THREE MONTHS due to their negligence. That is entirely unacceptable. On top of this, when an old piece of furniture broke, they demanded that we replaced it, even though we had only been there a month, and the furniture was old and cheap. When we asked for references for our new landlord, they refused to provide them until we called several times to ask why not. Finally, they tried to take £400 from our deposit in order to paint two walls, fix light fittings that we asked them repeatedly to fix during our tenancy, and fix furniture that was broken the whole time. They then proceeded not to answer any emails or update us on the situation, so we ended up going to the independent deposit scheme to get our money back (almost 3 months after moving out) When I say avoid at all costs, I mean it.

Oliver's town have been a great estate agent. When we looked round the flat Rodney was personable without being pushy and told us what was best for our application. With the process of moving in, Susy has been amazing - quick to reply via email and phone and always on hand to help

I am so happy to work with the Oliver’s Town lettings team and highly recommend them to anyone looking for an apartment to rent or buy! I am moving to the UK from the US and was getting nervous about finding an apartment, as I had a streak of bad luck with other agencies. From my first phone call with Susy and her team, I knew I would have a different experience! They found me the most perfect flat within a few hours and secured it for me. Seeing as though this is my first rental in London, they have essentially held my hand through the entire lease process and been diligent/detailed in all of their answers to my (many) questions! I couldn’t have fallen in better hands and am so excited to move into my first UK flat!! Thank you for making this a seamless experience, Oliver’s Town 😊

Rodney was very quick to get us into the flat, so quick that when I entered the property after collecting my keys, the previous tenant was still in there cleaning! Clearly who has keys and who has access to the property when is an ongoing issue with this agent, as when we went to the property on our last day of tenancy to finish moving out and cleaning, the locks had been changed and the landlord claimed that the agent had returned the keys to them already. The landlord then tried to charge us for the locksmith, cleaning of the flat and the removal of our belongings. The landlord changing the locks prevented us from completing the cleaning and removal! Rodney has been somewhat evasive in helping us clear this up, citing client confidentiality. We simply asked for a timeline of events to clarify to the landlord that he entered the property without our prior consent. The landlord refuses to answer any direct questions also, when I feel like a simple email from Rodney could potentially make him see sense. The fact that Oliver's Town continues to work with a landlord who flagrantly avoids his legal responsibilites and evades direct requests for information is quite frankly worrying. Strongly suggest avoiding this estate agent for lettings.

Thank you so much to Ms. Gopika from Oliver’s town.
When i was the tenant and went there to resolve my problem, she handled the situation with such professionalism and humanity. I have never seen people with such patience and handling the situation. She deserves more and more in her job.
She made me believe that still Business Values people than money. That made to like the Oliver’s Town more and i will recommend to everyone i know. Thank you so much, Gopika and Oliver’s town.

First class Estate Agents. Good service, kept me informed and got the asking price within a week or so. Our representative, Stephen Codner, did a first rate job and I would recommend him and his firm to one and all.

WARNING TO ALL, DO NOT RENT WITH OLIVERS TOWN.

We had the unfortunate experience of renting with OT. Below are just some of what we had to deal with

1. Left without a fridge for 6 weeks. Even after using their own property management forms they were slow, and frankly uncaring, in replacing the fridge.

2. Left without hot water for 8 weeks. 8 weeks. In the middle of winter without hot water. They (we dealt primarily with David) were again slow and dismissive of the issues and constantly tried to shift blame for the issue. We ended up organising the repairs ourselves after many, many, stressful calls/emails.

3. Rented a property without the legal HMO license for over 18 months.

4. Used intimidation and aggression to try and bury the issues we brought forward in efforts to cover their tracks. Stephen and Rodney in particular were condescending, threatening and dismissive toward us and our valid concerns.

Stephen would not wear a face mask ( or even take off his shoes) even with the knowledge that we were all medical students. He also decided that filming us in our own home was the most professional route to take when asked to honour very simple requests.

Deciding to rent with them is ultimately your choice but beware (students especially) as your experience may be as bad - if not worse- than ours was.
