I bought a house through Anthony James this year and had an excellent experience. They were very helpful throughout the whole process, especially Paige Savill, who continually kept in contact. I was a first time buyer and really appreciated the support and help they provided. I would definitely recommend using this estate agents, they even chased solicitors on occasions when necessary which was extremely helpful.

Could not be more helpful, I bought my very first property through Anthony James and they provided me with every service possible and they processed my sale within 6 weeks with no problems. I was guided and fully updated through the entire process. I would recommend to friends, family and anyone looking to sell or buy a property that have not used this company before. Myself and my son have just completed the sale of a flat in Aspen Court. The advice and service that we received from Anthony James through out the whole process was first class. Plus their reasonable selling fees put other local estate agents to shame.
Would certainly use them again for either buying or selling.

So I got interested in a flat which was advertised as being 1100£ per month. Did all my paperwork, paid all the fees, including the 1st month rent, and next day (2 days before moving in) they increase the rent for 1200£ per month, living me no choice but accept it as my old contract finished! Tried to sort it out by they always took the landlord's side. As it wasn't enough, I move in and there's no hot water in the flat! How professional are they? They don't care about the tenants, they only only care about pleasing the landlord!

AVOID IF YOU VALUE YOUR PROPERTY OR MONEY.
I rented my flat through Anthony James. When it came time to serve the notice I instructed them to do so. The week I was supposed to move back into the property I was told by Anthony James that the notice had not been served correctly and the Tennant had no idea they were supposed to move out. I had ordered new furniture to be delivered and had no living arrangements for the weekend after the Tennancy agreement concluded.
I was contacted by a director of the company, John Day who explained that in terms of serving the notice, all Anthony James are obliged to do by law is out a stamp on the envelope and post the notice. They do not send it recorded delivery, there was no follow up call with the Tennant to see if they wished to stay with Anthony James in another of their property’s, no call to confirm the notice has been received.
No representatives of Anthony James visited and inspected my property in over a year, the Tennancy states that this is only done on my request or if Anthony James deem it necessary. They clearly did not deem it necessary.
Mr Day did not once apologise for the inconvenience caused by Anthony James, and when I enquired what Anthony James planned on doing as I was left homeless due to their incompetence Mr Day simply replied “THAT’s LIFE”.
This also resulted in the Tennant living in my property rent free for a couple of days for which I have not received payment, despite waiting for a call from someone who can process this payment for over a month now.

If you wish to pay a letting agent a percentage of your income each month and have them do the absolute bare minimum with no regard for you or your property then sign up with Anthony James.

They don't bother getting back to buyers if the vendor doesn't accept your first offer. Was prepared to increase my initial offer however after 9 days of no communication and finally being able to get in touch with them, was told the vendor had accepted an offer from another party. Appalling service, would rate zero if I could

A brilliant company highly recommended. Professional, knowledgeable and friendly I have bought, let and now sold my property through Anthony James. Never had a problem or the slightest bit of stress.
