6 years after moving out of a rented property with Keylet I am STILL receiving emails about maintenance to the property even after many repeat conversations with them about deleting my information. Not only is this a violation of the data protection act. But during my tendency I didn’t receive any of the required maintenance emails, only since leaving the property do I get them.

While renting from Keylet any problems (and there were many) with the property were very slow to be fixed, and offer ignored.

Upon ending the tenancy they tried to take the majority of the deposit for issues that had been repeatedly reported, including a huge leak in the kitchen room that caused massive wall damage. (They attempted to charge us to repaint the property after taking months to even look at the leak).

Dont go with this company. Reread the 5 star reviews, you'll notice they're fake. Terrible customer service, don't treat their customers like they should have a normal, habitable house. Disgusting behavior and no solutions to major problems. Terrible management and no transparency between the branch and the repair services. By far worst experience my housemates and I have ever had in renting a property. Willing to change this review if we are assisted appropriately.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Went with Keylet- BIGGEST MISTAKE. We moved into our property and it was in grim condition- rubbish all over garden, house was dirty& quite clearly not cleaned, many items in the inventory were missing etc… the list goes on. However, it got a lot worse, we soon realised that huge damp patches had been covered up by paint- this resulted in our belongings becoming literally mouldy. I wish I could insert pictures. When a damp specialist came in, he told us the flat had such bad rising damp (on every wall) that we needed to leave permanently. Therefore, we had to leave our tenancy just one month in.

This flat should not have been letted to us in the condition it was in. If they can happily let our property out in the condition it was in, I dread to think the amount of other properties which are in similar ways. PLEASE AVOID.

* Positive reviews are clearly bots, don’t be fooled, worst agency we have EVER been with*

AWFUL COMPANY!!! How is this company still legally able to operate? When we were searching for a place in Cardiff, we were initially quite pleased with the service in the office, but that was the last time we ever got good service from anyone working there. As we went round the houses, it was obvious that the tenants had no idea there were people coming for a viewing. The house we rented was absolutely filthy when we moved in, there was tons of rubbish in the garden from when the landlord decided to renovate the bathroom, which leaked and occasionally had other issues. We had mould/damp in every room. I don't remember ever getting the deposit back either, as they also tried to keep a hold of it by saying it needed a deep clean - it didn't. The 5 Star reviews of this place seem auote suspicious. Don't do what we did, do your homework, trust the 1 star reviews. Avoid dealing with these nasty
pieces of work at all costs and save your money - because Keylet will try to steal it from you.

I was a tenant in a keylet property for two years and had zero issues, property was great and any issues that came up (toilet seat came detached, washing machine wouldn’t start), they had it fixed within a day or two of me reporting. My garage fob stopped working and as I was isolating due to test and trace I couldn’t get to the office for a new one, when I called and told the staff this they sent someone to bring the fob to my property. I never had any difficulty getting in touch, always answered phone first time or replied to emails quickly. Had my full deposit back less than a month after leaving with no quibbles whatsoever. Highly recommend

Rude, condescending and completely unhelpful, we left our second year uni house in a better condition than keylet gave it to us and they still demanded we paid for damage fees from our deposit. When we were given the keys to our house, one of the agents let us in and left quite sharpish once we began to clock on at how much of a state the house was in, the furniture was moldy, the microwave and refrigerators were rusted, smelly and broken, the Garden had about 6 months worth of general waste piled up in bags ( which wasnt resolved for atleast 2 months into our tennancy ) Every room had excessive damp stains which even effected the furniture e.g. Wardrobes, desks etc. An absolutely horrid experience which tainted our second year of uni.

1 STAR FLATTERS THEM. Awful letting agency. House was a mess when moving in. Unhelpful when it came to contacting them about problems throughout the year. We deep cleaned the house on leaving and left it in a better condition than we got it. However, they proceeded to send 300+ pictures of every spec of dust in the house in order to try and take £750+ in numerous made up deposit charges. AVOID at all costs.
