Brought my Takamine in to get set up, we’ve had it for years and it needed a tune up. Phil took it for a few days and it came back like new. Very reasonably priced, great service and also a nice bloke to deal with. Would recommend to anyone who wants to get their guitars looked at.

Had a great service from Phil this week. I royally buggered up my new Les Paul special by using nail
Polish remover to remove a sticker that had mysteriously attached Itself to the back. I ruined a significant section of the back finish of the guitar. It went white as it mixed with the nitro finish. Took it in to the shop. 4 days later sorted. Very closely almost as good as new. Plus he set it up properly, treated the fingerboard. Plays like a dream and looks all the better for it. Utterly, highly recommended!!

Gave him my guitar with a dodgy pickup and toggle switch and he fix it no problem and it's never sounded better. Nice and cheap as well plus he's a very nice dude. Would highly recommend

Phil was really friendly, did a great job setting up and dressing the frets on my guitars for a great price, and got the work done relatively quickly despite having loads of work booked. Would recommend.

I have a Godin Shifter 4 Bass that sounded okish but wasn't very happy playing it.

I met Phil and went through all the issues with my bass and left. A week later Phil called me to say it was ready for collection, having done a full service on the neck, pickups, electrics, intonation and so on. When Phil took it out of it's case I was absolutely blown away, the whole bass was totally cleaned, serviced and looking great. I got home, plugged it in and the whole thing came alive in a way that I have never heard or played before.

Phil is not only a great guy but someone who pays excellent attention to detail and delivered true craftsmanship at an excellent price. Communication was great along with the whole experience. I highly recommend Phil and will be returning for all future set ups.

I took my Yamaha acoustic guitar into the GMN a month ago, and got it back a few days ago (Phil had a lot of guitars to work on after lockdown, and I did say I wasn't in a rush as I had a spare), but wow, well worth the wait! I've almost had a brand new guitar returned!

Phil had to not only replace the strings, but also retighten the tuners plus finger board required a good clean and recondition. The physical appearance of my guitar has not only been transformed, but the sound is now clean, crisp and tuneful - even with me playing it!

I have no hesitation in recommending Phil, the Guitar Medicine Man as not only was all the above done professionally, but at a very competitive price to boot!
