This place is more than amazing. Not only have I had the best food that I've had in years but the service and staff are super friendly and helpful. It's rare to get amazing food and amazing staff but this place has really pulled it off. Not only did I have the best meal in years but I had to come back for more. Again I was greated with smiles and helpful willing attitudes that was actually genuine. Tom and Lianne made me feel more welcome than any other pub I've been too. I can't praise this place enough and if you're on holiday, I 100 percent would urge you to go to this lovely place and allow the staff to make you feel special and dine on the best food I've experienced in the UK.

Honestly blown away by this restaurant. My self and my wife stayed at The Old Hall Caister (restaurant in the same facility, but nothing to do with the hotel) the food is some of the best food we have eaten in a long time. All of the food is quality and fresh and very good value for money. Great choice of drinks and a bar area with outside seating. Had breakfast this morning and again that was superbly tasty, I had the Norfolk breakfast and my wife had the Salmon. Staff are a credit to the company, the evening meal all the staff were friendly and polite, we were served all night by different staff, normally I like it to be one but because all the staff were friendly and working as a team (that’s ho it came across) I really didn’t mind. There was one lady, I think her name was Leigh Anne (hope I’ve got that right?) she was super friendly and easy to get on with so thank you to her. If you haven’t been then this is a MUST RESTAURANT TO GO TO, YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED, WE CANT WAIT TO RETURN. Many thank you for the service and outstanding food.

Time from ordering to receiving food was 50 minutes.
Place certainly wasn't busy, with only 3 tables, including ourselves actually having food delivered.
When received, the quantity and quality were very poor, compared to other restaurants in the area.
Food was tasteless, lasagne, with more effort put in to the salad.
The wife had a mix bean chilli which consisted of a tin of tomatoes and a few beans.
Again, compared to other near by restaurants, very poor and would advise not going.

What a massive let down. We where so excited about this place as we read the reviews. We had gone to The Gate first but when arrived we where told they had run out of half the menu! So left and immediately started looking for somewhere else. This was the next nearest place. We where seated quickly and starving But we waited nearly an hour for food (and no it wasn't massively busy). Needless to say I have never had a steak so bad. It was worse than a weatherspoons and for £25!!! My husband asked for rare... his picture is attached. Mine was mostly fat, and thin and really over cooked. I asked for a medium rare but it was more well done. Such a poor cut. And the mash was re heated or made from frozen because it was awful. The only good thing about the meal where the chips but even then we didnt get many. About 12 chips in a tiny wire basket. It looked ridiculous, a small steak, couple of cherry tomatoes and a basket of chips coming out on a massive plate! My brother had the sea food platter but everything was over cooked. We did end up giving some feedback at the end and was met with a bit of a slide glance that most of it had been eaten (we had very hungry children after waiting an hour) and we hate to complian but my sister in law encouraged us. We where offered a free dessert but that wasn't any better, it tasted shop brought. Honestly I was really shocked by this place. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. And for the price I would expect something amazing! Total spent £120 for 4 adults, and a teenager.

First time visit this evening. Food was excellent and portion sizes are just right. Children's meals came on full size plates which makes the children feel more adult like. Service was a bit slow this evening but we weren't in a rush and it was very warm so it was nice to have a break and take our time. Staff were pleasant and the little jars of sweets for the kids was a nice touch. I'd definitely visit again.

Fantastic place! I'm gonna dream about that baked camembert now! 🤣😋 Huge portions, I mean look at the size of the ribs! Super friendly staff, very kind and bubbly.
Starters and desserts were spot on, mains were just alright. Still, I'd be happy to come back when around!
