Sunday lunch with friends on 17th July, on a glorious sunny day, but there were empty tables......astonishing! The food we enjoyed was absolutely superb with a special mention for the matured steak with "dinky" beef pie on the side, possibly the tastiest beef dish I have ever eaten. A fine menu right to the last spoonful of pudding. Finally a peaceful time sitting outside in the garden which has a terrific view. Thank you for a real treat.

We booked for lunch on our way back from a week near Appleby, as a nice way to round off our holiday. They were so welcoming, despite us arriving late for our table.

We'll, we were not disappointed. We had a wonderful meal. The menu had a great balance to it and the food was cooked to perfection. This is a Gastro-Pub 'par excellence'. In fact, the term Gastro-Pub doesn't seem to do it justice. Well worth breaking your journey for.

Food incredible and we all agreed after we left, we’d never come across service so friendly and natural. A great lunch to celebrate a 30th birthday. Thank you!

Stopped in by accident and so happy we did. The food was amazing. Staff was welcoming and kind. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Can't wait to go back and try more food and lovely conversation.

Great pub if you want to be ignored for 20 minutes whilst he serves everyone else who walks through the door!!

We have been trying to get to dine at the Parkers Arms for some time, but Covid and other issues interfered with our booking arrangements. At last we got there and we were not disappointed.
The restaurant has a homely traditional pub feel to it with the service provided very welcoming and informative.
Now, to get to the food. For the price of £45 per head, we were amazed. You could upgrade certain dishes such as have a scallop for an extra £6 etc, but even without that, the food was a hearty size portion and tasted awesome. We loved it and just had to try one of the famous pies. The pie pastry was so light and the filling was deliciously tasty!
Now would we revisit again, he'll yes, in a heartbeat. You can see why it's number 2 in the UK Gastropub listing
