We stayed there for a night in August 2022. The hosts are very nice and comprehensive, the bedrooms are large and clean, all of this at the very entrance of the town. I do recommend!

1.5 star. We were extremely disappointed with our stay considering the amount we paid for the room (~£140 per night). The location is great as it's close to town , but that's the only positive. The room was dusty; Window sills , above wardrobe , curtain rails & wall pictures were thick with dust. It had a small TV & double bed which wasn't great as we've had better from other places for less money. It was very hard to sleep every night due to noise below & outside , this was like till 2-3am in the early mornings. Large holes were evident on wardrobe , which a previous person mentioned in their review around May time (6 months ago) , but still hasn't been fixed. Desk light didn't work. The heating wasn't on for a long period of time for one of the days , had to mention. Requested room to be cleaned & re-supplied with toiletries , however nothing was done till prompted by us. Last thing was nobody was around to check us out. Would have been nice for them to ask how our stay was & say their goodbyes , however nobody was around.

We were graciously permitted to join the friends and family soft launch of the new menu (possibly as I wore a birthday badge!). Honestly, I’ve been to some top restaurants and I was in absolute heaven. I can’t promise you’ll get the same menu options as it was a trial, but the chicken thigh croquette and the mac and gruyere cheese side were SUBLIME. Big props to the chef, everything on the table was sumptuous (and thank you for the birthday surprise). Also top notch espresso martinis on the bar, well worth a visit.

Super lovely stay in an old inn that's had new life breathed into it. The room was really nice and the location perfect. The staff are great and gave us amazing service despite juggling a busy bar, food service and full hotel. Will definitely come back!

Kitchen hasn’t been open long and it was our first visit, we had a lovely late lunch. Food was delicious and freshly cooked and the staff were very friendly. Will definitely be back for Sunday lunch in the future. Thank you!

We stumbled across this pub last weekend and instantly enjoyed the vibe, the bar staff are lovely and friendly. Great selection of wine, beer, spirits and cocktails.
We have since decided this will be our new local and enjoyed a couple of evenings there and last night decided to try out the food.
We weren't disappointed, everything tasted delicious the food came out quickly and hot, and our waiter Adam was friendly & helpful, we were able to enjoy the rest of our evening by moving from the kitchen side back to the bar area.
We will definitely be looking to book here for food again.. the Sunday roasts look amazing so we definitely plan to try out them soon.

A rather disappointing visit, we've been in a couple of times just for drinks and service has always been very friendly. This time we wanted to try the restaurant so looked at their website menu and it was interesting and varied.
However, when we were seated we were given a very limited menu that was just pub grub. If mentioned on website or when we booked it we would understand but it wasn't.
We still ordered and it was ok but pub standard. My pie was burnt on top and covered up with gravy. I did mention this but staff didn't seem interested and did not want to make a fuss as with friends. A tray of glasses then was dropped over me but again did not make a fuss but offered anything to wipe myself down.
After meal we decided to have a cocktail and a beer but told they had stopped serving them and had no ale. A bit surprised as only 9pm on a Saturday and they advertise as a cocktail bar.
Altogether a very disappointing time.
