Lovely friendly place arrived after breakfast finished. But not a problem for this place. They offered a look at the lunch menu if I wanted. But cooked a breakfast for two. Sat outside as we had our dog. Great view across the river. Had a look inside. Lovely restaurant. Very clean and tidy. Great location to stay as they have rooms. Good access for wheelchairs. With a ramp to the room.

An absolutely beautiful pub fabulous views. Its a very long country road to get to the place but the scenery made up for that.
We with the intentions of having a meal sadly for Us they were also having a wedding reception in one part of the venue on the day we visited and the barmaid, whom wasn't very friendly or welcoming, Rather bluntly told us she would have to speak to the chef. We were made to feel like a bit of an inconvenience to the place so we ordered one drink and promptly left. So we can't review on the food and the Service definitely could have been better Really feel that it let the place down sadly.

Had a very nice lunch at the ferry house inn. But...... extremely small portions and thought very expensive and over priced. Don't get me wrong food was lovely and very well presented but sweetcorn seemed to come with everything so if you don't like it menu was quite limited. Doubt I'll be able to afford to eat there again for quite a while

We chose The Ferry House as our wedding venue because there were beautiful options for indoor and outdoor ceremonies -- never know what to expect weather wise-- and it was the best decision we've ever made.

Low-stress, delicious food, amazing staff, and lovely rooms. We had guests in the pub rooms and the coach house rooms; not one complaint. The bridal suite was an excellent place to catch my breath before the ceremony, I only wish I'd been able to use the lush whirlpool tub.

We've left more detailed reviews on wedding specific sites but if you are reading this and considering The Ferry House as a venue: do it. 'Perfect' is an understatement.

I really can't recommend The ferry house enough. Tucked away in the middle of next to nowhere it really is something special. I've stayed a couple of times for work at this point, and the combination of reasonable rooms during the week, superb food and spectacular scenery means I'll always take a look if I'm in the area.

While the food is a set menu only (two courses minimum) and seems quite expensive initially, the value is overwhelming especially when coupled with the sheer quality of the dishes. The staff have always been a delight and are both knowledgeable about the ingredients, which are sourced locally where possible, and up for a chat if you want that sort of thing.

If you're pushed on time, make sure you wander down the track for a superb view of the Thames estuary from a more quiet spot than you're used to. If you've got a bit more freedom, then definitely take a walk along the bridleways that follow the river and are easily accessible from a track just opposite the pub. You can follow the river as far as you'd like, with the next village over being the easiest stop.

Would give a 10/5 if I could, and will no doubt be back again soon.

We have eaten here a number of times and it is one of our favourite places to eat.
On our last visit however the food let it down.
The steak had too much gristle and the fat chips were not to our taste.
We love the fact the menu changes with the seasons but it was lacking that special something this time.
We know they can do better and have done a number of times before.
Faultless service though as always.
