Fantastic fresh food always!!!!
Home made pasta, all sauces made from scratch cooked front of house, Reasonably priced and the most amazing Italian restaurant around! Certainly not one to miss out on if you are in the area !!!

Meat platter and bruschetta was pleasant as starters. But when pasta arrived, the tomato sauce from the Tortello literally tastes like blended tomato from the can, and the pasta itself is almost tasteless. The bolognese looked tasteless but surprisingly not, because the beef tasted soooo strong that I mistook it as lamb and no tomato sauce could mask it. Couldn’t swallow anymore after two bites.
Long wait from ordering the food until it actually arrives as well, given only 1 chef cooking for all customers.

Mandy and Dave who own and run this restaurant are great! Always go out of their way to make you feel welcome. As well as serving delicious Italian food, their coffee, biscuits and cakes are to die for!😋

I was lucky that the owner found me a space during a busy lunch period. All customers were warmly greeted and when full those unlucky to find a table were turned away with a polite apology. There were many regulars which is a sign of continual good customer service and food quality. The meals are made fresh to order including the pasta dishes. Well presented in contemporary food dishes. If you are in Stockbridge do try and get a coffee or food from here.

What a gem! We love visiting Italy, but it means we’re wary about going to Italian restaurants in the UK. They’re never quite the same. However, Prego has changed that for us! The food is fabulous and the environment the owners have created is really friendly and inviting. They really couldn’t have been nicer. We can’t wait to return!

We came out for lunch to Prego, having been advised it would be a good idea to book when we looked in during a stroll round Stockbridge. And it was like leaving Stockbridge behind and dining in a trattoria in a Tuscan hill-town, starting with Mandy offering us a sample of the house red and house white so that we could choose what to have with our lunch, which was served up fresh and piping hot by Dave, the chef himself. My wife had the tagliatelle and I had the gnocchi, with an ice cream and two spoons to follow. It was great, and no dearer than if you went to ASK or Prezzo.

Fantastic meal. We stopped on the off chance of a table and were luck. Great food and wine. Really warm welcome and lovely atmosphere!

Had a lovely coffee and cake break in Prego and it was lovely with very friendly staff and the cake in the words of my friend was "the best she has had". If we had time we would have gone back for lunch as it looks delicious. Highly recommend a visit 👌
