Best Pub meal I’ve had while visiting the UK !! I had the the Steak and Ale pie with Mash and mushy peas, well
Cooked, beautifully presented and friendly efficient staff. The whole table loved their meals I highly recommend dinner at the Butcher Arms.

We saved this place for our last night in the Forest of Dean and I’m glad we did. I’m surprised it’s not on a list of one of the best places to eat in the UK! The pub is superb, we were left very full, satisfied and speechless at the choice, quality of food and service. We had the following dishes, melted Angiddy cheese wheel with bread, oil and onion marmalade, salt and pepper calamari, both were outstanding. Mains were 10oz ribeye, fish and chips, steak and ale pie and the kitchen ribs. Ribs fell off the bone, steak was so tender a steak knife wasn’t needed, fish was bright white and flakey and the pie was a thin crust and full of filling. The chips were incredible and the little side salads were a perfect accompaniment. This little pub made a fantastic end to a superb holiday, thank you to all at the butchers arms….this place is a must, please go if you’re visiting the Forest of Dean.

Fantastic food. For "pub grub", it's on the dear side, but then it's exceptional in quality. (We haven't been to any of the others in the village so cannot compare to those). The waiting staff were utterly lovely and very kind to us and our young family. Comes highly recommended from us.

We stopped off at the Butchers Arms after visiting the Clearwell Caves.

There was plenty of traditional pub food to choose from. When the food came we were not disappointed and tucked into our delicious meals.

The pub looks well looked after and there is also parking if you arriving by car/motorbike.

We will not hesitate to come to this pub again when we’re are in the area next time.

Great beer, food and service, Butty Bach, a smooth beer, easy to drink! Staff very helpful and had a wonderful time. Top place to eat, I would advise to book, as the restaurant soon becomes very busy. Out door garden with seating area and car park.

Probably some of the best chicken wings I've had in this country!

We also had a Sunday roast and it was fantastic.. everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked... and the portion size was very generous.

if we lived near here.. we would be here every night!

Best chicken wings ever! A real twist on the normal bbq/buffalo wings. An awesome marinade on top of crispy wings. We are definitely going back for them again. Top notch

My wife and I enjoyed an evening meal here last week for the first time. The food was perfect, the drinks were decent and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. One star off because of the 25 minute wait to pay with card when it wasn't very busy.
