Our favourite place in St Albans! Always excellent quality and service. A bit more expensive than other restaurants in St Albans, however really worth it! Always our treat spot for birthday and valentines. Freddie is a brilliant host and makes every customer feel special.

What a super place! Staying with friends in St Albans, they suggested we eat at Freddies. Nice, quiet atmosphere - you can easily hear conversation across the tables with no-one having to shout. Freddie is a very caring host and we felt very welcome. The food is just excellent. A good range of dishes on the fixed price menu and also on the à la carte. Freddie understands gluten-free and made adjustments to dishes for some of us. All cooked very well and delicious. We shall be going back.

We used Freddie's for our wedding reception meal and what an absolute joy it was. The restaurant and atmosphere was delightful and the food was Michelin style if you ask me. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to have a lovely evening out with some delicious food. Thanks Freddie for a wonderful experience!!
