Nando's Whitechapel

First time I had been to Nandos since lockdown and I was not disappointed. I had heard a lot from some people who had visited some branches where it seemed like they had rushed to cook the chicken resulting in a tasteless meal. Not here though top marks to the chefs and the cheerful staff, starting from the person who greeted us at the door to the staff who served us. Venue well laid out to cope with covid. Not been to this branch before and will definitely return and recommend to family and friends.

Nandos never disappoints and ordering from the table using the QR scan is just so easy and very efficient. The staff here always provide a good service 👏 👍

Probably my worst experience at my favourite restaurant. When I came in, I was not greeted, and when I asked for a table for one, that person just went on to see a table - I don’t know if he lacked enough training or what, but from my experience of eating Nando’s all around UK. If they have to check for a table, they ask us to give them two minutes and not just walk away! Then he waved and said come here, here’s a table for you ready. When I sat on the table, it was dirty and there was rice on the table! I asked someone to clean it up, after that I kept on waiting and thinking when will I get the menu. And I had to ask someone for the menu! Then I placed the order online, and went to pick up my glass for the drink!

The food arrived, and the chicken was so dry and cold, I just felt like I should have gone to a different place all together.

I asked them to change it and the two photos will show the difference in portions before and after! It’s actually so below the real standards!

Nando’s should conduct regular checks on places to see if the standards are being maintained or not.

Very noisy acoustics making it difficult to hear your own conversation. Ordering from the app did not work. A helpful team member took our order at the till. The food when it arrived was fine, up to the usual Nandos quality.

Food was good however was stuck on the hot plate neglected for at least 8 mins. We watched staff choose to clean empty tables instead of serve our food for nearly 10 mins. Only When we asked about our food is when they went to collect our food. it was around 3pm and hardly any customers. Why they chose to clean multiple tables over serve the customers already waiting for their food for almost 10 minutes didn't seem to set a customer first experience to me. There's was about 4 tables waiting for their food which was all waiting to be served ready to go but no one collecting it. Overall food was good but service unfortunately put this down. Worst thing you can do is have a hungry customer with clear view of their food, and multiple staff walk past and ignore it which seemed like a lifetime, That's 2 stars for me.

A lot of different sauces to choose from, lunch time was quiet. Food was excellent.

Slow and disorganised. When we entered, me and my friend were told to wait as there was no table ready for us🤔. So we stood awkwardly for around 10 minutes as there was no place to sit anywhere. After we were seated, the man told us to order online. However, the table was dirty and unclean (a huge ick) so I didn’t feel like ordering anymore. But I decided to eat as it was raining outside and just couldn’t be bothered to go somewhere else as we had wasted a lot of time already. The food took around 20-30 minutes to get ready, and I lost my appetite in that time. The food tasted very bland, the jars of sauce were dirty too 🫣🤢 Would not eat here again. Please think twice before coming here.

The staff was very agreeable to do takeaways and give me a table number to choose what I want for lunch whether by myself or with my family. I mean, I haven't been there for a long time today.
