Always a great experience. Love this spot for a breakfast outing and it never dissapoints. Really great food , sharp and attentive service by the staff who are always so welcoming and friendly. Shaun went over and above on my last visit, took the experience that extra yard.

I love the rustic yet smart and sophisticated decor. Already looking forward to my next visit.

Party of many for a birthday meal:

Food was great, had one issue with a steak which was fixed right away, but considering 15-20 steaks were ordered, it’s pretty good going.

Waiter’s liaised with the kitchen to kindly establish what dishes could be prepared for an allergy customer.

Only downside is the understaffed nature of the restaurant. 1, mostly unsupported bartender due to the other tables needing to be seen to, but under the circumstances the service was acceptable.

Shaun and Junior did a great job.

Nice location for brunch. The food was really good. The only disappointment was the fresh orange juice, that it was not fresh.

Wasn't bad but thought the coffee was overpriced at 3.45 for a latte. Also I hate places that automatically stick 12.5% service charge on. Then the card reader asked if I wanted to add an additional tip !!

Though the service was quick and attentive the food needs some improvement for the price they ask for. Especially I refer to the quinoa and kale salad. You would expect a bit more imagination and skills for the bowl of salad for £12.

I've visited twice since Black & Irons opened. Once for breakfast with my 8 year old son who declared to Jack that his pancakes were 5*! I had the Eggs Royal which were divine. It was outside dining only at this point and it was a very blustery Saturday morning. We were plied with lovely thick warm orange blankets to keep us warm and I had a continuous flow of my favourite flat white as I have from there sister B&W coffee shop.
I revisted with hubby and daughter a couple of weekends back for a quick lunch between dance classes. They both had burgers and I had the chicken club sandwich with fries. The food was absolutely amazing! Great portion sizes, really fresh and prepared to perfection which all together made it great value. Customer service is amazing and the team are all really attentive which is definitely there trademark across both the coffee shop and the restaurant. This has quickly become my favourite treat and it's really nice to see and support a fantastic small family business over the many chains available in Woking. Well done Jack, Jamie & Co, you should be very proud of yourselves. Looking forward to our next visit.

Was welcomed, served and looked after by a super friendly and professional team. Venue had a great atmosphere too, buzzing with guests but not to the point of being exhaustingly noisy. Had the squid rings for a starter which were perfectly cooked and very tasty. Main was just as good, enjoyed a grilled lamb burger served with a decent amount of chips and a salad. Thought both dishes were a great value relative to what you can get at similar grill style restaurants in the area. Dessert wasn't quite as enjoyable, the ice cream served with my chocolate brownie was relatively low in quality compared to the very high standard of the rest of the food from the evening, resulting in a somewhat sickly taste for my liking. Aside from the food, the rustic interior was highly agreeable, save from a filament bulb decoration adjacent to the table that although novel, became somewhat strenuous on the eyes due to its intense brightness. I'm sure a dimmer switch would resolve this minor issue though. Service was somewhat slower than one might have hoped, but given I visited on the first Saturday that the restaurant opened its interior seating after a prolonged period of closure, there are bound to be some forgivable teething issues. Despite actually being there for a long time, it didn't feel like it, which must have meant it was a lovely place to spend the evening. I'm confident that if I visited in a few weeks time from writing, I could easily give this great local establishment 5 stars, so maybe I will!

Went here last night to try it out, and appalled by the staff and the food.
Steak came out blue rather than medium rare, sent it back to be cooked more, but instead of re plating the food with hot sides, the old ones were still there and cold as a result of the extra cooking. The broccoli and chips were good, but if you're calling yourself a steak house, get the main thing right.
My partner ordered the warm chocolate brownie, this came straight out of the fridge onto the plate, nothing warm about it, I ordered the lemon meringue, I'm up for an adventure but to put chocolate sauce on this was totally wrong.
Now I'm not one to complain often, but when it came down to paying, I raised these concerns with the waitor who couldn't give a care in the world and fought back on what I was saying.
There are so many other options in Woking, and paying £100+ for 2 people youd expect quality, not cheap, rushed, rude service
