Simpsons Fish and Chips Stroud

Excellent freshly cooked to order, cod,chips and mushy peas, a takeaway with separate eating room which was clean and pleasant. Batter light and tasty, chips thick , and like home made . Superb .

Stumbled upon the best chippy in Stroud. Everything cooked fresh to order. But the line moved quickly. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable about menu options. Very clean. Fair pricing for the quality of the food. I may venture down to Stroud again just for the chips.

They got the order wrong even when there were only 3 customers, possible due to lack of concentration as they were talking about drinking. The chicken did not taste like chicken even the kids did not eat them. I have to give them one star as the food is cooked as you wait.

I’m afraid it’s often a bit hit and miss at Simpsons. Vegan battered sausage was fantastic but the curry sauce was watery and tasteless and the chips were clearly reheated from lunch. Paid £3 for a tiny box of husks

Amazing friendly staff, lovely fish and chips.

Especially recommend the jackfruit burger and chicken pieces! Three flavours, all delicious!

Possibly the world's most expensive chip shop.
That said they offer excellent quality time and time again.
But for the cost I would expect nothing but the best takeaway chips 🍟

Brilliant vegan options that taste amazing! We always love a takeaway from Simpsons. Good kid friendly vegan options too. Can't fault it!
