Liked: Lovely quiet site, ideally located. We are a family if 4 with teenage boys, and 2 dogs. The site is great for fishing, my eldest made the most of 2 full days fishing, he had some fantastic catches. The farm shop is lovely, and have a great selection of cakes. We were on pitch 10 which is a grass pitch at the end of the field. We were able to also park our car in front of the caravan. The free WiFi does not reach this pitch, however it wasn’t an issue for us. We had electric and our own water supply.

We will definitely be back, it was a great little site.

Disliked: They only have 1 toilet & shower. This did worry me before our visit, however they were both clean and we didn’t really have to wait. So not a major problem.

Check in times are tight 2-4 and they lock the gate shortly after. However they offer you a code to get in if you are arriving outside of these times, so again not a massive issue.

Liked: Small, quiet and presentable site with lovely hedged private pitches, great onsite shop and restaurant. Easy access from the main road.

Disliked: Felt the toilet could be cleaner, the soap dispenser was just full of water all weekend so obviously not checked. The small walk to it (a minute)was not a problem, as mentioned in other reviews.
Obviously not the campsites fault but the field behind was frequently sprayed with manaure, so quite smelly at times and so attracted many flies.

Liked: Lovely picturesque area over looking the lakes, very quiet off the road and one point we were the only ones on site for 36hrs.

Disliked: Only issue is that there is 1 shower and 1 toilet for everyone to share and you had to walk through between the lakes to get to them. At one point there was a queue for the shower and that was with 4 pitches in use.
The fully serviced drains were too high or the pipework and not draining very well.

Liked: Absolutely love it here. Perfect sized pitches, water tap for each plot, lots of fishing opportunities and wonderful café on site. Only 10 minutes from Retford Centre and recommend visiting Yash an Indian restaurant 2 minutes drive away from the site. The facilities are good. Staff are super friendly and they have a farm shop too.

Disliked: The only thing to dislike is the bugs in the shower. A suggestion would be to put a sign on the door to say please close when done as people leave it open lots of creatures start to live in there and it makes the experience difficult to enjoy! Other than that nothing :)

Liked: The site was clean, the facilities were always clean and toilet paper replenished. The 4 ponds were beautiful to walk around and bins provided for your doggy waste. The pitches were hedged to allow maximum privacy. A lovely peaceful get away. The on-site farm shop, gift shop and cafe were wonderful and staff were helpful and friendly.

Disliked: Wi-Fi didn’t work at pitches.

Liked: Not really anything to be fair

Disliked: Recently visited the site and not happy about most of it to be fair.
1 toilet,1 shower between the 8-10 vans around the site.
The super pitches we paid for were too close to a busy road which boy races with loud exhausts must love of an evening so a good nights sleep was not to be had
Gates lock at 4pm then you need to mess about putting a code in a padlock if you want to go out and return.
I went to this site because I love my fishing,5 lakes for fishing it brags off on the website, all the ponds were full of weeds was told that this was due to water levels being low they had weeded up, I fish most weekends and not 1 of the ponds I go to are in this state, the ponds need some TLC not to get overgrown and taken over by the weeds and some pegs are overgrown with rushes and trees. They tell you on web site that they provide fish mats and landing nets but they don't because personally, i think they need to put fish in first, personally i think the shop and cafe are the real bread and butter for this site.

An impromptu family get together was made so enjoyable today - from accommodating our very large party of 9 adults, 3 toddlers and 3 children at short notice, to the beautifully cooked Sunday lunches; I can’t rave about this place enough. A fab place to go if you have young ones, as their play park is safe & enclosed and great for all ages (fab for keeping the smalls entertained while dinner’s being made) and they have toys indoors too! Huge thanks to the staff who made our visit so enjoyable - we’ll definitely be back. Only negative that may put some people off was that the gammon was very salty (but I liked it)!

Vary quaint little farm shop with a cafe attached! We when here for my Grandmothers birthday and had a very tasty meal! She was delighted and very happy. The food was all to a high standard and served promptly and hot. There was a great selection and the desserts were divine. The farm shop had a great selection of local produce and some very stylish clothes. I would highly recommend visiting!
