Noyon Indian

To call this an Indian restaurant is a crime. This place is a scam! My wife and I ordered a chicken biryani, lamb roganjosh, pilau rice, naan and raita. The biryani was nothing like biryani at all. It was some odd mixture of rice, peas, cucumber, chicken pieces and lettuce! And it came with an even stranger yellow vegetable curry of some sort, that didn't taste of anything at all. It was even lacking in salt! The raita was just plain yogurt with a couple of slices of cucumber, and the yogurt didn't even taste like yogurt. The worst dish was the lamb roganjosh - this was atrocious! It was a couple of pieces of lamb in a bowl with a ton of tomato pieces straight out of a can! Absolute scam!
This restaurant would not survive a week in a place where people actually knew what Indian food is supposed to taste like. If the owner had any decency at all, they'd either close up the place or look for a chef who actually knows how to cook Indian food.

The food is excellent, and they offer a great selection on the menu. Very well priced and very high quality cuisine.
Definitely worth a visit and you won't be disappointed.

The staff here are very friendly and polite,we went early bird on a Wednesday evening so was given a 15% discount on our final bill,even though the prices were already amazing ! And the food is delicious and plentiful On visiting Pickering we will always go back to this lovely restaurant
